Someone said, “KAA, why don’t you pray?”

I asked her what I should pray about. She said, “Pray for your country.”

I told her that my country does not need prayers but good leadership and that the redemption of my country is not in the hands of God but in the hands of the people of my country.

She said, ”Pray for breakthroughs in all your businesses”

I told her that prayers does not cause business or financial breakthroughs. If it does, atheists and immoral men and women in high places would not be prosperous. If it does, prayer warriors would be the richest in the world. Good business principles, strategic planning and uncanny marketing are the things that causes business and financial breakthroughs. Even Babylon, a city known as the capital of idol worship, rose to become the world’s most powerful and richest city in ancient times because of its mastery of wealth creation.

She said, Ok, pray for good health. I told her that I don’t need to pray for good health. God does not choose who to bless with good health and those to curse with sickness. It rains on priests and prostitutes. The sun shines on sinners and saints. And if I get sick, I will visit a doctor. Doctors are God’s answered prayers for good health.

She said, “You should definitely pray for safe travels of travelers.”

I told her that accidents will continue to happen, not because it’s a curse, but because of carelessness, bad road, overspeeding, disregard for traffic rules, and use of worn-out tires and brake pads, and it will continue as long as drivers license are issued to everyone who can afford to pay for it and not based on merit. And no amount of prayers will change anything. It’s not God’s responsibility to fix these things.

She looked at me and said, “KAA, you have become an atheist.”

I said YES. I am an atheist to superstitions and superstories. I don’t bother God for the things He has given us the ability to fix. I simply thank Him for whom He is and for creating man in His image and likeness.

Meet former Nigeria goalkeeper, Onyeka Ann Chiejine Who Represented Nigeria at major Tournaments while she was pregnant and still went ahead to win of the trophy.


Ann chiejine revealed how she got to know about her pregnancy at the Sydney 2000 Olympics Games.

"I don't know that I was Pregnant. It was not good, it was FIFA that brought me out and I later discovered that I was 4 months Pregnant," She said.

The bandana trying player continued the tournament until super falcon were knocked out. From there she proceeded to the African Women's Championship (AWC), which was held in South Africa about a month later.

Ann Chiejine was between the sticks as Nigeria Won the tournament, beating the host in the final match. She won a total of four AWC during her playing career(1998,2000,2002 and 2004).
The Pretty Ann was born 2 February 1974,and got married in 1992, at age of 17 to Mr Uche Chiejine. They are blessed with four children- two boys and two girls.
During her playing career, she plied her trade with Flying Babes; Kakanto Queens; Jegede Babes; Rivers Angels; Larry Angels; and Pelican Stars. She almost signed by Arsenal female team, but was denied visa by the British embassy.
Ann Chiejine played around three (3) World Cups,1991,1995 and 1999 before retiring in 2005. She was a former Super Falcons Assistant coach, and she was crowned Nigerian Coach Of the year in 2017.

Just In: Uduak-Abasi Akpan sentenced To de@th for the r@pe and m of jobseeker Iniubong Umoren

The Akwa Ibom State high court in Uyo has sentenced Uduak Frank Akpan, the first accused in the m of Iniubong Umoren to d by h@nging.

In the over two hours judgement by the presiding Judge, Bassey Nkanang, the convict was found guilty of r@pe and m and sentenced to be h on the neck till he d .

Recall that Uduak-Abasi Akpan had lured Iniubong Umoren out of her home with a fake job interview, r@ped and k her in April, 2021, in the outskirts of Uyo.
He later buried her remains in a shallow grave in his family house where the crime took place.

Uduak-Abasi Akpan had in his confessional statement said: “I first used c@ndom to have s*x with Iniubong Umoren and later removed the c@ndom because I did not enjoy the s*x. She became infuriated and I reached out to a stabilizer and a box iron and used it to h her abdominal part and started to bl€d. I h her again and she screamed. I used her jean trousers and str@ngled her and she became lifeless."

Delivering judgment on Thursday, the court held that: “The use of d@ngerous we@po s such as a stabilizer and a box iron to att@ck delicate parts of the human body like the head is a clear pointer that de@th was probable the consequences of the action."

The Court found Uduak-Abasi Frank Akpan guilty of r**e and murder of Iniubong Umoren. However, the court discharged and acquitted his father, Frank Akpan and sister, Bassey Anwan.

Gunmen Attack AIG Madaki In Kaduna, Kill Orderly

Gunmen on Wednesday attacked the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 12, Audu Madaki, in the Barde area of Kaduna, killing his orderly.

Mr Madaki and a yet-to-be-identified officer survived the attack but sustained gunshot wounds along Barde-Jargindi village.

They were on their way to the monthly conference of the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, and senior police officers from the rank of commissioners of police.

Top on the agenda is the security situation in the country which the IGP says is crucial to creating a pathway towards resolving these security issues in the country.

The acting Dean of Medical College, University of Ibadan,Prof Adebola Ogunbiyi ,invited all the old students who are now doctors produced by the college to a zoom meeting.

The reason for the meeting was not farfetched.

The professor was sick with worry about the infrastructure decay and rot at the medical college she oversees in Ibadan.

She is aware that the Nigerian government is too broke to fund it, so she came up with a master stroke, which was to tap into the resources and social capital of the alumni produced by the medical college scattered all over the world to give the medical college a facelift.

A Zoom meeting was fixed on Monday, two days ago, and the link was sent to the former students of the medical college.

Starting off the meeting, Prof. Ogunbiyi narrated the challenges and plight the current medical students at the college are facing.

The current medical students of the college need a new hostel and their classes also need to be refurbished.

The acting Dean of the college ended her speech by appealing to the alumni of the college to support her in rebuilding and restoring the lost glory of the medical college.

Her speech opened the floodgates of donations from the medical doctors produced by the Medical College, University of Ibadan.

The donations were coming in trickles.
