*OPEN LETTER TO THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF NIGER STATE ON THE NEED TO ENSURE A FREE AND FAIR APC GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARY ELECTION IN THE STATE*

Dear Mr. Governor

*THE NEED FOR FREE & FAIR APC GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARY ELECTIONS IN NIGER STATE*

As His Excellency is aware, political activities in our State have reached a crescendo, as all the political parties, including the All Progressives Congress (APC), prepare for their primary elections towards the 2023 National General Elections. The parties’ primary election is a key element in the overall electoral process in a democracy, especially the need for this process to be free, fair and transparent at all levels.

1. Your Excellency, while many of your associates and friends, as it is their right in a democracy, have openly declared their aspirant of preference amongst the APC Gubernatorial aspirants, you have always maintained at many private and public fora, including the most recent meeting of 17 May 2022 with the APC Gubernatorial aspirants, that you have no preferred candidate. You have continued to insist that you have left it to the electorates to decide your successor, and that your key interest is for APC to elect a candidate that is capable of winning the general elections for APC in Niger State.

2. Mr. Governor, we are much impressed with your declared stands on this matter, and we congratulate you on such a progressive stand on this critical element of our democracy.

3. However Sir, we wish to express our concern that some of your associates who have so openly declared their interests, may use their relationship with you and your government to deliberately misrepresent your position to the delegates and subvert the electoral process to achieve their own personal political and commercial interests. We would therefore respectfully request that you actively ensure that this doesn’t happen, by openly declaring your stand to your associates, government officials and the APC machinery in the state.

4. Your Excellency, as the leader of APC in Niger State, we respectfully request that you use your good office to ensure that the forth-coming primary election is free, fair and transparent; and that delegates are allowed to make their choices without blackmail and intimidation from any quarters, including the operatives of the aspirants, government and political appointees, party officials, and others around the corridors of political power in the state.

5. Your Excellency the process of leadership recruitment and succession planning in Niger State is at a very precarious state. and Nigerlites will hold you responsible if you allow the process of the primary elections to be subverted.

6. Mr. Governor, as you are probably aware, the nuances on the street are not positive, and unfortunately in public affairs, perception is reality. We hope that you would debunk these perceptions by choosing to be on the right side of the political history of Niger State that is currently unfolding.

7. Finally, we would like to assure Your Excellency that we make this request in the interest of Niger State, and that of the future generations of Nigerlites because posterity will not forgive us if we fail to speak out.

While we look forward to your acceding to our request, please accept the assurances of our respect, goodwill and highest regards.

WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR SANI NDANUSA
Advice for the Delegates

Dear delegate, don’t throw away your vote.

Sani Ndanusa is the only aspirant for whom other aspirants have stepped down…

… together with their entire political structures including delegates.

So, majority of the delegates said they will only vote for Sani Ndanusa.

That is why the powers that be in Niger State suddenly stopped their plan of anointing a candidate.

I am in contact with the delegates, and I have access to all key politicians in Niger State.

So, doubt me at your own peril.

Let me explain the situation to you Nupe Nupe, or Gwari Gwari:

Sani Ndanusa has relegated Bago to the second position.

And, since last week, Bago has pushed Malagi into the third position.

After these three, all others are just playing the king's jesters.

With, of course, the exception of the Shinkafan Nupe.

Malagi and Bago’s approach of loud publicity and boisterous campaigns have, unfortunately for them, exposed their weaknesses.

If loud, noisy campaigns can backfire this way, why was Ketso still addressing crowds…

…until the Trade Fair Complex, Minna, was suddenly closed against their declarations?

I still don’t know how Ketso convinced himself into joining the gubernatorial race – with an unsavoury baggage of seven uneventful years.

Is it that he just have 50 Million, and many more Millions, to throw around?...

That, reminding me of the rest of the aspirants who had to scrounged around to pay 50 Million through their noses; just in order to prove to their detractors that they can still afford 50 Million.

If you can still afford 50 Million, why didn’t you use it to uplift the living standards of your village people all these years?

These people had opportunities in the past to develop Niger State but they didn’t. Now, it’s Nemesis time!

Leaving us with only Sani Ndanusa for whom you the delegate should vote.

Zone C is already sealed with their delegates’ bloc vote already dedicated to Sani Ndanusa. They said he is from Zone C.

Zone A is also 90% sealed with it’s delegates saying they will collect the money, but they will only vote for Sani Ndanusa. They said he is their son.

Zone B is over 70% sealed for Sani Ndanusa. The delegates said he is their brother.

Engineer Sani Ndanusa, ESN has advised his campaign organisation and teeming supporters not to be distracted by the shift on the date of the primaries by our great party but to remain focus and resolute to the end.

He also added that he is much more convinced now more than ever as a result of the unflinching support and encouragement he has been receiving from his interactions with relevant stakeholders.

ESN had earlier today Thursday interacted with all elected vice chairmen of the 25 local governments in the state, he held similar consultation with all elected council chairmen from the state on Wednesday 18th May 2022.

One Day during the time Engr. Ndanusa was in office as GM Water Board, it was brought to his notice that the board had just about 10 bags of Alum (Alum is used in water treatment) left and all efforts to get money to procure more proved abortive, the state government was also complaining of funds at that moment.

According to him, he sat in his office thinking of options but none looked realisable.
Next thing he got into his car and drove straight to Abuja to see the then Minister of FCT, on reaching his office he told minister there is problem oh, Minister inquired about the problem and Ndanusa's response was;
"Hon. Minster I don't have Alum to treat water and my government is facing challenges with funds, the implication of this is Suleja and environs will soon shut down due to unavailability of water.
You know Suleja is home to over 50% of your workforce in Abuja, I want to partner with you through FCDA to avoid this embarrassment."

The Minister was quiet for some time before putting through some calls and Boom!
Niger State Water Board was given 5 trailer loads of Alum by the minister's directive.
