Borno: Talking Shettima's Tall List Of Roads, Bridges And Drainage
.
In Borno, the last five years have been associated with a long list of urban and rural Roads, Drainages, Bridges and Culverts constructed under Governor Kashim Shettima's Administration. Of course, this is inspite of huge distractions from the security challenges.
These roads and bridges aimed to transform open up urban and rural areas, ease mobility for social and economic purposes, create wealth and jobs for the good people of Borno state. Governor Shettima's administration would have achieved more than double the number of project delivered if not because of the setback due to the Insurgency which stalled seven major rural based projects.
Not to bore you with long grammar, we have in bullet points, compiled a summary of some completed and On - going projects across the state.
First, here are Completed projects
● Bulumkutu Tsallake Road Dual Carriage way and Drainage:11.6km of single carriageway and 23.2km of drainage including 4.2km of outfall drain.
● Abbaganaram -Gongolong Road Dualization and drainages networks construction of 10k, 3.2km dual carriageway, 6.8km single carriageway and 6.4km side drain and 2 km outfall drain and 3.2km streetlight
● Mogaram road to Bulabulin(Ahmadu bello) link road/with box culvert bridge: which consists of construction of 1 km single carriageway road with a multiple cell box culvert.
● Lagos street Dualization, bridge construction and drainage networks:the project entails the construction of 3km dual carriageway and 6 km concrete side drain including a bridge of 120m water course and 3km of streetlights and additional beautification lights
● Construction of roads and Drainage connecting Mai Ibrahim road linking to Damboa road/moduganari by - pass roads 3km roads ,6km of drainage and box culvert
● Construction of roads Network in mafoni liberty ward maiduguri (deputy governor road) 2.5km, construction of drainage network in mafoni ward maiduguri 5k
● Reconstruction of Gamboru primary school road 400m and construction of 800m drainage
● Reconstruction of Kukawa road 700m and construction of drainage 1.4km
● Reconstruction of mohammed lawan road 750m and construction of drainage 700m
● Construction of roads linking Bama road to Gombole road 2.2km, construction of roads and Drainage from Galtimari primary school junction to gombole 1km, construction of 16 cell multiple box culvert at 58m
● Baga road rehabilitation project 15255km
● Ngamdu township road construction and drainage/surfacing 3km
● Legacy Gardens Estates 2 construction of road network and drainage 1.25km, road 2.5km
● Construction of multiple cell culverts in Gora town and 6km road rehabilitation
● Re-instatement of double cell milda fesingo culverts 11.5m
● Construction of Mbahe double cell culvert 11.5km
● Construction of 586m drainage on both side of Adamu mai buhu linking to gombole road
● Rehabilitation of dikwa-Gamboru ngala federal road 8KM
● Construction of roads and Drainage in Baga motor park 3.3km
● Construction of Tudun-wada road and drainage in maiduguri 1 km road and 2 km drainage
● Construction of Garin Gada-Balbaya-Fikahyel road in bayo 38km including 7 multiple culverts and several ring culverts
● Construction of kwaya Kusar-Peta-Milda 10km
On - going projects
● Construction of roads and Drainage within Bulumkutu stadium area 8.03km and 6.6km drainage
● Construction of dual carriage roads and Drainages within Bulumkuttu Abuja 18.29km of road,36.5km of drainage and outfall drainage of 850m and streetlights
● Construction of Damboa - Chibok-Mbalala federal road 38km, 33 culverts including 25 ring, 3 triple cell and 5 box culvert
● 20 multiple cell box culvert in Shokwari
● Biu township overlaying and rehabilitation of dual carriageway at 12.2km
● London ciki Goni adam road rehabilitation and resurfacing 3km
● Construction of road and drainage around Ngomari pri school area 2 km
● Construction of Miringa-Gunda road in biu at 38km
● Earth roads interlocking, covering of drainage and construction of median kerbs across the metropolis has been completed
● Production and interlocking of presidential lodge measuring is 8KM
● Production of slabs and covering of drainage from Idrassa Khadi's junction to Budum roundabout measuring 1.x3.8,1x2.6 distance of 090
● production of slabs and covering of drainage from Bukar Bolori roundabout to Government house roundabout measuring distance of 1.8km
● Rehabilitation of road leading to Mala Kachallah hospital to ibrahim taiwo housing estate a distance of 850m
● Concrete interlocking blocks from fed.secretariat to old welcome to maiduguri roundabout covering about 3km making up about 4.5km
● Interlocking of lagos street road side corridor from Government House junction to Bama road junction phase one
● Concrete interlocking blocks on the road median from West end roundabout to custom roundabout, maiduguri measuring about 3km
● Construction of Road from Gamboru to Wulgo in Ngala local Government
● Construction of dual carriage way between Gamboru and Ngala town
● Construction of roads and Drainage in dikwa town
● Construction of Dikwa-Gulumba-Banki state road
● Construction of wamdeo-chul-mussa-hyum-dile-lassa road in Askira - uba 48km
● Construction of Baga town to Doro in kukawa local Government 15km
● Construction of selected roads and Drainage in remote parts of Jere and mafa local Government.
