IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL BIOSSITES

We are pleased to announce that the University has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to split the Department of Biological Sciences (DBS) into separate departments!

NEW DEPARTMENTAL STRUCTURE

- Department of Microbiology (HOD: Prof. A.F. Umar)
- Department of Ecology (Ag. HOD: Prof. A.J. Nayaya)
- Department of Biological Sciences (Botany and Zoology) (Ag. HOD: Prof. A.A. Barde)

IMMEDIATE TAKE-OFF
The new Ag. HODs will start operating from their personal offices, with concrete arrangements being made for their respective departmental offices. Administrative staff will be appointed by the university management, and course allocations will be posted by individual HODs.

Navigating the Campus with Confidence
Our initiative focused on providing invaluable insights to new students, ensuring they understand the layout of the campus and feel at ease during their initial days. The power of being informed is undeniable, and we are committed to empowering our student community.

Physical Sensitization
Through engaging discussions and practical demonstrations, we fostered an environment of understanding and support. Students were sensitized on the importance of physical well-being, ensuring they are equipped to face the challenges and opportunities that come with university life.

We were honored to have the esteemed Faculty President, Cmr Aliyu Ibrahim, grace our event. His presence added an extra layer of significance to the program, showcasing the unity and collaboration within our academic community.

This is to inform the whole biological science students that, there's ongoing departmental registration, and manual course reg for returning students, fresh entry and also direct entry which will end this weekend. please endeavor to come and do your registration.
TIME: 09:00AM--03:30PM.
VENUE: BOTANICAL GARDEN LAB III, YELWA CAMPUS.
NOTE:by 03:00pm,there will be no more collections for the registration,only those who are already lab before 3pm will be attend to, so work with time. thank you.
