To put things into perspective, this is an event organised by Obinna Tv Show Show and not The County.Lets Put our spears down patriots and support this event.

It is important to note that, after the coup in Niger, a country that shares border with northern Nigeria and the proposed military action proposed by ECOWAS, which Nigeria is head, a military intervention in which northern Nigeria protested against, on the grounds that they share family bonds with people across the border, so an attack on Niger is an attack on northern Nigeria.
It is also important to remember that Britain created artificial borders dividing Hausas in Nigeria and Hausas in Niger.
The use of Russia flags first appeared in solidarity protests after the coup, in support of Niger. Now they have resurfaced again in .

African American Inventor: MARY KENNER (1912-2006)

Mary Beatrice Davidson Kenner is an inventor of numerous products we use today and has the most patents of any African American woman. Kenner was born on May 17, 1912, in Monroe, North Carolina. Her father was inventor Sidney Nathaniel Davidson, and her mother is unknown to the public records; she has one sibling, her sister, Mildred Davidson Austin Smith.

Kenner patented multiple inventions in her ’40s, however, she began inventing at age six when she attempted to invent a self-oiling door hinge. Invention ran in the family. Her maternal grandfather Robert Phromeberger’s most notable inventions were a tricolor light signal for trains and a stretcher with wheels for ambulances. In 1914, her father patented a clothes presser that could fit in a suitcase. In 1980, her sister invented “Family Treedition,” a family board game.

Mary Kenner had many ideas as a child, including a convertible roof that would go over the folding rumble seat of the car, a sponge tip at the end of an umbrella that would soak up rainwater, and a portable ashtray that would attach itself to a cigarette pack. When her family moved to Washington D.C. in 1924, she walked the halls of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to become familiar with the building and the patent process.

In 1931, Kenner graduated from Dunbar High School and started attending Howard University but dropped out after a year and a half for financial reasons. She then took multiple odd jobs, and in 1941, she became a federal employee, remaining there during the rest of the decade. In 1950, she became a professional florist and ran her flower shop into the 1970s while inventing things in her spare time.

Kenner’s first patent was in 1957 for the sanitary belt. While she originally invented the sanitary belt in the 1920s, she couldn’t afford a patent. Over time she improved her earlier version and other versions that were patented before hers. The sanitary belt aimed to prevent the leakage of menstrual blood on clothing, which was a common problem for women at the time.

The Sonn-Nap-Pack Company got word of this invention in 1957 and contacted her intending to market her invention, however when they discovered that she was Black, they declined. Beltless pads were invented in the 1970s and, as tampons became more popular, women stopped using sanitary belts.

In 1976 Kenner patented an attachment for a walker or wheelchair that included a hard-surfaced tray and a soft pocket for carrying items. She and her sister invented a toilet paper holder they patented in 1982. Her final patent, granted on September 29, 1987, was for a mounted back washer and massager.

Mary Davison Kenner married James “Jabbo” Kenner in 1951. He died in 1983. They were foster parents and adopted Woodrow, one of their five foster kids. Mary Beatrice Davidson Kenner died on January 13, 2006, in Washington D.C. at the age of 93.

Kenner didn’t receive any awards or formal recognition for her work. However, her inventions and contributions helped pave the way for subsequent innovations. Kenner still holds the record (five) for the greatest number of patents awarded a Black woman by the U.S. government.

Akothee Writes
I have provided a school van for my pupils at Akothee Academy, most of whom are very young children. I can't imagine them traveling on motorbikes. However, the school van can't pick them up because the roads are impassable.

I have highlighted this issue with the Ministry of Roads in Migori, County which led to a conflict with the Director of Roads. He claimed I was speaking to him rudely, despite having lied to me for almost six months and giving me false promises. Previously, I took it upon myself to repair the road at a cost of less than 200,000 Ksh.

Why don't we normalize working diligently for the community without feeling the need to feel special.

I am not attacking anyone; I am simply asking: can't this small road be fixed so that children can access education comfortably? My neighbors have parked their cars because it's useless to risk getting stuck in the mud. Parents are calling and screaming at me because the van got stuck twice, causing delays. What kind of situation is this? Should I do it again on my own to save the community?

Idi Amin Dada Oumee, the third president of Uganda from 1971 to 1979, is considered one of the most brutal dictators in modern history ¹. Here is his story:

Early Life and Education
- Born in 1923 near Koboko, Uganda, to a Kakwa father and Lugbara mother ² ³ ¹
- Deserted by his father at an early age, he was brought up by his mother, an herbalist and diviner
- Received little formal education

Career
- In 1946, he joined Britain's colonial African troops known as the King's African Rifles (KAR) ² ³ ¹
- Served in Burma, Somalia, Kenya, and Uganda
- Rose through the ranks, reaching sergeant major and then being made an effendi, the highest rank possible for a Black African serving in the British army
- After Uganda gained independence in 1962, Amin remained in the army and rose to the position of major and was appointed commander of the Uganda Army in 1965

Rule and Regime
- Amin launched the 1971 Ugandan coup d'état and declared himself president ¹
- Initially welcomed both within Uganda and by the international community ²
- Formed "killer squads" to hunt down Obote's supporters, and later, all political opponents ²
- In 1972, he declared "economic war" on Uganda's Asian population, leading to the expulsion of 70,000 Asians ²
- He became increasingly paranoid and violent, and his regime was known for its brutality ² ³ ¹

Downfall and Exile
- In October 1978, Amin ordered an attack on Tanzania, but was defeated by Tanzanian troops and Ugandan nationalists ³
- Amin fled to Libya and then Saudi Arabia, where he remained in exile for the rest of his life ² ³ ¹

Legacy
- Amin's regime was responsible for at least 100,000 deaths and possibly many more ² ³
- He is considered one of history's cruelest dictators by the west

The pasture looks lush green on the other side from afar, it can't be same when you get there.
