Congrats Kabayan Dondon Castro from Florence 🇵🇭

The Consulate General of the Philippines congratulates Florence -based Leonardo “Don-Don” Castro for being the first Filipino runner to finish the 100-kilometer Del Passatore Ultramarathon from Florence to Faenza on 26 May 2024. Castro, who was the champion in the Ultra Bizensio Race held last February and fourth placer in his age category in the 2023 D’Ulrafons en Pista de Barcelona, clocked 10 hours, 18 minutes and 22 seconds.

Ambassador Neal Imperial gives full support to the Philippine delegation to the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2024 at the Philippine Embassy in Rome.

Present in the courtesy call were Ms. Nina Cainglet, Deputy Chief of Mission, Ms. Mary Ann Ordinario, governing board member of the National Book Development Board (NBDB) and publisher at ABC Educational Development Center Children’s Books, Ms. Beth Parrocha, renowned illustrator, Ms. Maria Carolina Tapia. Division Chief of NBDB-Industry Development Division, and Mr. Russel Molina, author.

The team presented Ambassador Imperial with the Rights Catalog for the book fair and several books for the Embassy’s library.

Nagpapasalamat po ang Konsulado Panlahat ng Pilipinas sa mga pinuno ng Pamayanang Pilipino sa Friuli Venezia Giulia sa kanilang mainit na pagtanggap kay Consul General Elmer G. Cato sa pagbisita niya sa Udine noong ika-20 ng Abril 2024. Sa kanyang pagbisita, pinasalamatan ni Consul General Cato ang mga pinuno sa pagsuporta sa panawagan ng Konsulado para sa pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan at sa kanilang partisipasyon sa 1st General Assembly ng Bayanihan Council. Ang pagbisita ay nagbigay-daan din kay Consul General Cato na hindi lamang talakayin ang mga plano at programa ng Konsulado kundi makinig din sa mga alalahanin ng ating kababayan mula sa rehiyon.

The Consulate General of the Philippines thanks leaders of the Filipino Community in Friuli Venezia Giulia for their warm welcome and kind hospitality during the visit to Udine on 20 April 2024 of Consul General Elmer G. Cato. During his visit, Consul General Cato thanked the leaders for supporting the Consulate’s call for unity and cooperation and for their participation in the 1st General Assembly of the Bayanihan Council. The visit also allowed Consul General Cato to not only discuss the plans and programs of the Consulate but to also listen to the concerns of our kababayan from the region.
