Surrendered militant of HM outfit arrested for selling Narcotics Substance in Gandoh area of Doda District.

Doda Police said that on 27.11.2022 a case FIR No. 88/2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Gandoh in which one drug peddler namely Adil Iqbal@ Adil Hussain S/O Mohd Iqbal Batt R/O Manoie Tehsil Chilly Pingal was arrested on spot and his co-accused a surrendered militant namely Anayatullah Khan S/O Lal Din Khan R/O Sanwara Tehsil Gandoh fled away from the spot.

After hectic efforts of a police party led by SHO P/S Gandoh, Inspector Sh Vikram Singh assisted by PSI Arhie Bhushan arrested the said drug peddler/surrendered militant from Bagli Modh of Gandoh.

It is pertinent to mention here that the above named surrender militant/drug smuggler was earlier involved in number of FIRs of Police Station Gandoh viz., case FIR No. 128/2006 U/S 366 RPC 7/27 A Act, FIR No. 94/2010 U/S 354,323 RPC, FIR No. 20/2012 U/S 354,323 RPC, FIR No. 24/2014 U/S 451,323,504 RPC and FIR No. 70/2020 U/S 457,380 IPC.

The backward and forward links of the drug peddlers are being ascertained during further investigation of the case.

Doda Police is appealing to the general public to extent co-operation to Police and provide inputs/information if any clue of drug smuggling is noticed so that the menace of drug is eradicated from the society.

Dr Uttam Chand Shastri Pathak for learned scholars who had devoted his entire life for service and promotion of Sanskrit language. The award should be bestowed upon the persons contributing to the promotion, propagation and preservation of Sanskrit language in J&K.

On this occasion Shatabdi Samaroh Samiti Member & Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan trust President, Mahant Rohit Shastri presented an idol of (Kamdhenu Gau Mata) on behalf of the Trust and drew his kind attention to the problems being faced by Sanskrit students and scholars of Jammu and Kashmir. Shastri also suggested some remedial measures which the government could consider for implementation for the promotion of Sanskrit. He stressed that Sanskrit should be made compulsory from class 1st in all Government and private schools. A separate Abhinavagupt sanskrit sansthan, sanskrit academy, sanskrit sansthans etc.should be established in the UT of J&K. He also suggested that Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Gurukul, Katra, be converted into an Aadarsh Sanskrit Vidyalaya under Central Sanskrit University, Delhi.

कुलपति जी ने अपने व्याख्यान में कहा कि गीता के अध्ययन, श्रवण, मनन-चिंतन से जीवन में श्रेष्ठता का भाव आता है। गीता के श्लोकों में मात्र संदेश नहीं हैं बल्कि ये वो मूल मंत्र हैं जिन्हें हर कोई अपने जीवन में आत्मसात कर पूरी मानवता का कल्याण कर सकता है। गीता अज्ञानता के अंधकार को मिटाकर आत्मज्ञान से भीतर को रोशन करती है। अज्ञान, दुख, मोह, क्रोध, काम, लोभ आदि से मुक्ति का मार्ग बताती है और हमें कर्म को अपने जीवन में मुख्य धर्म के रूप में धारण करने की प्रेरणा देती है। कुलपति जी ने कहा कि वे स्वयं भगवदगीता का पालन करते हुए कर्म को प्रधानता देते हैं और निरंतर अपने कार्यों को पूर्ण करने में लगे रहते हैं।

परीक्षा नियंत्रक एवं योग विभाग के अध्यक्ष डॉ उपेन्द्र भार्गव ने कहा कि गीता भगवान श्री कृष्ण द्वारा अपने भक्तों के उद्धार के लिये गाया हुआ मधुर गीत है। अर्जुन तो उसे हम तक पंहुचाने का एक सशक्त माध्यम हैं।

कार्यक्रम के आरंभ में अतिथियों ने दीप जलाकर कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ किया। इसके उपरांत कुलपति जी ने महंत रोहित शास्त्री को शॉल श्रीफल और विश्वविद्यालय का साहित्य प्रदान कर सम्मानित किया। रोहित शास्त्री जी ने अपनी धर्मस्थली तथा नागदेवता पुस्तकें उन्हें भेंट कीं तथा जम्मू कश्मीर यात्रा पर आने का निमंत्रण दिया। कुलपति जी ने धर्मस्थली पुस्तक का अवलोकन किया और उसकी विषयवस्तु लेखन शैली तथा लेखों की प्रशंसा करते हुए कहा कि वे उचित अवसर पर अवश्य ही जम्मू आएंगे और और वहां के धर्मस्थलों का दर्शन करेंगे।

*New degree colleges have been opened in Jammu and Kashmir where Devvani should be taught. Vedic studies posts should be filled in higher education.*

Jammu :- Today Mahant Rohit Shastri, President of Srikailakh Astrology and Vedic Trust, met Rohit Kansal (IAS), Principal Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to promote Devvani Sanskrit and presented him the book 'Dharmasthali' and a memorandum and urged that new degree colleges are opened in Jammu and Kashmir where Devvani Sanskrit should be taught and should be strictly taken into account. Vedic studies posts must be filled in all colleges and should also be given equal importance as this will help in increasing the morale of Sanskrit scholars. Devvani Sanskrit should also get special status like other languages. He said that the land of Jammu and Kashmir has been the eternal center of Shaivism, on this holy land the founder of Pratyabhijnadarshan, Acharya Abhinavagupta, great poet Kalhan, great poet Vilhan, and many ancient Sanskrit sages have originated. The Acharyas who paved the way to unite not only India but also the whole world with their penance, the same Punyasalila Jammu-Kashmir Vasundhara is becoming extinct from Sanskrit today. If our demands are met, the morale of Sanskrit workers will increase and with such efforts it is possible to restore the lost Sanskrit philosophy in the state.

Jammu, 20 Nov: Dr. Sushil Sharma, Head of the Department of Cardiology at the GMCH, augmented his efforts to educate the public about the negative effects of cardiovascular diseases due to deteriorating air quality today by holding a day-long awareness cm screening camp at Raipur Domana. Participants of all ages and from all communities were invited to attend. Additionally, individuals with a high cardiac risk were urged to undergo additional testing.

During his conversation with the patients, Dr. Sushil noted that over the last decade, a growing body of epidemiological and clinical evidence has increased concern about the possible negative effects of ambient air pollution on health and its link to heart disease and stroke. *उत्पन्ना एकादशी का व्रत 20 नवंबर रविवार को : महंत रोहित शास्त्री ज्योतिषाचार्य।*

जम्मू कश्मीर :- मार्गशीर्ष महीना बहुत पवित्र माना जाता है। मार्गशीर्ष मास लगते ही मनुष्य को स्नान आदि करके शुद्ध रहना चाहिए। इंद्रियों को वश में कर *काम, क्रोध, लोभ, मोह, अहंकार, ईर्ष्या तथा द्वेष* आदि का त्याग कर भगवान का स्मरण करना चाहिए। प्रत्येक वर्ष चौबीस एकादशियां होती हैं, परंतु जब अधिकमास या मलमास आता है तब इनकी संख्या बढ़कर 26 हो जाती है।

मार्गशीर्ष माह कृष्ण पक्ष में आने वाली एकादशी को उत्पन्ना एकादशी कहा जाता है। इस विषय में श्री कैलख ज्योतिष एवं वैदिक संस्थान ट्रस्ट के अध्यक्ष के महंत रोहित शास्त्री ज्योतिषाचार्य ने बताया कि धर्मग्रंथों में उत्पन्ना एकादशी का बहुत महात्मय बताया गया है। मार्गशीर्ष कृष्ण पक्ष एकादशी तिथि 19 नवंबर शनिवार सुबह 10 बजकर 30 मिनट से शुरू होगी और अगले दिन यानी 20 नवंबर रविवार सुबह 10 बजकर 42 मिनट पर समाप्त होगी। सूर्योदय व्यापिनी मार्गशीर्ष कृष्ण पक्ष एकादशी तिथि 20 नवंबर रविवार को होगी। इसलिए मार्गशीर्ष कृष्ण पक्ष उत्पन्ना एकादशी का व्रत 20 नवंबर रविवार को है। उत्पन्ना एकादशी व्रत पारण 21 नवंबर सोमवार 2022, प्रातः 07:35 बजे से 09: 02 मिनट तक द्वादशी तिथि के दिन होगा। धर्मग्रंथों के अनुसार एकादशी एक देवी हैं, भगवान विष्णु की शक्ति का एक रूप है और मार्गशीर्ष कृष्ण पक्ष की एकादशी के दिन ही यह प्रकट हुई थीं। इसलिए इस एकादशी का नाम उत्पन्ना एकादशी हुआ। एकादशी के दिन भगवान विष्णु जी की पूजा अर्चना करने से समस्त पापों का नाश होता है,दुखों से मुक्ति मिलती है और उत्पन्ना एकादशी का व्रत रखने का फल अश्वमेघ यज्ञ और तीर्थ स्थानों में स्नान-दान आदि से मिलने वाले पुण्य से भी अधिक है।

*इस प्रकार पूजन करें :-*

इस व्रत के पूजन के विषय में महंत रोहित शास्त्री ने बताया शारीरिक शुद्धता के साथ ही मन की पवित्रता का भी ध्यान रखना चाहिए। मार्गशीर्ष कृष्ण पक्ष की दशमी को भोजन के बाद अच्छी तरह से दातून करनी चाहिए ताकि अन्न का एक भी अंश मुंह में न रह जाए। फिर अगले दिन यानी एकादशी के दिन प्रातः काल पति पत्नी संयुक्त रूप से लक्ष्मीनारायण की उपासना करें,इस दिन सुबह स्नान कर पूजा के कमरे या घर में किसी शुद्ध स्थान पर एक साफ चौकी पर भगवान लक्ष्मीनारायण की प्रतिमा या तस्वीर स्थापित करें। इसके बाद पूरे कमरे में एवं चौकी पर गंगा जल या गोमूत्र से शुद्धिकरण करें। चौकी पर चांदी, तांबे या मिट्टी के कलश (घड़े )में जल भरकर उस पर नारियल रखकर कलश स्थापना करें, उसमें उपस्तिथ देवी-देवता, नवग्रहों,तीर्थों, योगिनियों और नगर देवता की पूजा आराधना करनी चाहिए,इसके बाद पूजन का संकल्प लें और वैदिक मंत्रो एवं विष्णुसहस्रनाम के मंत्रों द्वारा भगवान लक्ष्मीनारायण सहित समस्त स्थापित देवताओं की षोडशोपचार पूजा करें। इसमें आवाह्न, आसन, पाद्य, अर्घ्य, आचमन, स्नान, वस्त्र, सौभाग्य सूत्र, चंदन, रोली, हल्दी, सिंदूर, दुर्वा, बिल्वपत्र, आभूषण, पुष्प-हार, सुगंधितद्रव्य, धूप-दीप, नैवेद्य, फल, पान,तिल,दक्षिणा, आरती, प्रदक्षिणा, मंत्रपुष्पांजलि आदि करें। व्रत की कथा करें अथवा सुने तत्पश्चात प्रसाद वितरण कर पूजन संपन्न करें।

*ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय*

इस मंत्र का 108 बार जाप करें।

इस व्रत को निराहार या फलाहार दोनों ही तरीकों से रखा जा सकता है। व्रत रखने वाले शाम के समय भगवान विष्णु का पूजन करने के बाद फल ग्रहण कर सकते हैं। लेकिन इस व्रत का पारण द्वादशी तिथि को किया जाता है। व्रत के अगले दिन द्वादशी पर किसी जरुरतमंद व्यक्ति या ब्राह्मण को भोजन कराकर कुछ दान-दक्षिणा जरूर दें।

*एकादशी के दिनों में किन बातों का खास ख्याल रखें*।

एकादशी के दिन किसी भी प्रकार की तामसिक वस्तुओं का सेवन नहीं करना चाहिए,ब्रहम्चार्य का पालन करना चाहिए,इन दिनों में शराब आदि नशे से भी दूर रहना चाहिए, व्रत रखने वालों को इस व्रत के दौरान दाढ़ी-मूंछ और बाल नाखून नहीं काटने चाहिए, व्रत करने वालों को पूजा के दौरान बेल्ट, चप्पल-जूते या फिर चमड़े की बनी चीजें नहीं पहननी चाहिए,काले रंग के कपड़े पहनने से बचना चाहिए,किसी का दिल दुखाना सबसे बड़ी हिंसा मानी जाती है। गलत काम करने से आपके शरीर पर ही नहीं, आपके भविष्य पर भी दुष्परिणाम होते है।

Terror Module busted, 3 arrested, Huge Arms and Ammunition recovered

During intervening night of 8/9 November Police party of PS Trikuta Nagar was clearing the traffic on National highway. During the said exercise an oil tanker bearing registration number JK02BF 2965 stationed at Narwal was asked to move forward. The same truck again stopped at near Environment Park. The patrolling party of concerned Police station when again asked to move forward, the driver took a U-Turn and again stopped the truck at the initial point i.e Narwal. This time while de-congesting the area, it was noticed that it is the same truck which was asked earlier also to move forward. On questioning the same, the driver rather than giving a satisfactory answer the driver and 2 of his associates entered into a scuffle with the Police party. On this the Driver along with two associates were taken to the Police station and an FIR no.284 U/S 353 was registered in PS Bahu Fort. On this driver Mohd. Yaseen S/O Mohd.Ismael R/O Puchil Pampora, Farhan Farooq S/O Farooq Ahmed R/O Drangbal Pampore and Farooq Ahmed S /O Abdul Aziz Bhat R/O Drangbal Pampore were arrested. After the leal formalities, a signal was sent to the concerned Police stations of the accused regarding their involvements in any other case so as to know their antecedents. On this it came to the notice that the driver of the truck is involved in a ULAP case in Awantipore. He is also a close associate of JeM as per the report of the concerned Police station. On this, suspicion arose and the Police party started questioning about the reason behind the unusual behaviour last night and to know about the association with the terrorists, if any.
After sustained interrogation the driver Mohd Yaseen disclosed that they have come to Jammu to pick up weapons on behest of Shahbaaz, a handler of JeM who is in Pakistan and was asked to handover to a terrorist in Valley. He also confessed that he has concealed a consignment of arms and ammunition in the oil tanker. Upon this the tanker was again searched in presence of a magistrate and the recoveries made thereof include – 3 AK-56 rifles, one pistol, 09 Magazines in number, 191 rounds of ammunition, 6 Grenades. The consistent effort of Jammu Police in this case made the arrest of 3 person, which includes 2 Terror associates and recoveries of huge consignment of Arms and ammunition possible.

Jammu : Today shri kailakh jyotish avim vedic sansthan trust organised a program at Karwanda Bhalwal,Jammu North Constituency, in the memory of First Param Vir Chakra awardee Major Somnath Sharma ji,on his 75th martyrdom day.

On occasion trustee secretary Rakesh Gandotra highlights on great role of Major Somnath Sharma, who laid down his life while defending the Srinagar Airport from the attack of tribals in collaboration with Pak Army on November 3,1947.

Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan trust Mahant Rohit shastri appealed to the honourable LG Manoj Sinha to pay homage to the great personality by rechristening Kashmir Airport on the name of Major Somnath Sharma and providing a suitable place to install statue of the martyr in the City of Temples.

On occasion Trust president Mahant Rohit shastri said Major Somnath Sharma was born on January 31, 1923 in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh in a Brahmin military family. The D Company of 4 Kumaon led by Major Somnath Sharma was air lifted to Srinagar during tribal invasion of Kashmir on October 31st, Major Sharma was under plaster due to fracture and he was advised rest but he insisted on being with his company at the crucial hour and was allowed to go. When heavy causalities adversely affected the firing power of the coy, Major Sharma with his right hand in plaster took upon himself task of filling magazines and issuing them to men operating light machine guns.
His last message to Brigade Headquarter received a few moments before he was killed “The enemy are only 50 yards from us, we are heavily outnumbered. We are under devasting fire I shall not withdraw an inch but will fight to our last man and our last round.”

*Accused in JK DG (Prisons) Lohia murder case attempted su***de before fleeing: Officials*

Jammu/New Delhi, Oct 16: The domestic help accused of murdering Jammu and Kashmir Director General (Prisons) Hemant K Lohia had made an unsuccessful attempt to commit su***de before fleeing from the spot after the killing, officials said on Sunday.

The 23-year-old domestic help hailing from the Ramban area of Jammu region, Yasir Lohar, was thoroughly interrogated by a team of police along with psychologists to ascertain his mental condition. The case has since been handed over to the crime branch.

Lohia, a 1992-batch IPS officer, was found murdered with his throat slit at his friend's house in Udaiwala on the outskirts of Jammu city on October 3 shortly after having dinner.

Examining the scene of crime with forensic experts, the officials said a torn belt was seen hanging from the ceiling and the explanation Lohar gave was that he had attempted su***de after killing Lohia with the help of broken glass bottle of ketchup.

They said Lohar was subjected to psychological examination as he seemed to have acted in a fit of rage after his expectation of a government job was not fulfilled.

Lohar emerged as the key suspect in the murder as he was found missing from the scene of the crime and later CCTV footage showed him running away from the house using the backdoor.

The accused also attempted to burn the body of the officer by throwing a burning pillow, attracting the attention of the family and his guards who rushed and broke open the door.

The accused attempted su***de after killing the officer but the belt which he had tied around his neck snapped under his weight. Afterwards, he escaped through the backdoor as others rushed in, officials said.

Marks of the belt were found on his neck as well.

Mapping activities of Lohar, a school dropout, for the last two years when he had fled from his ancestral village, officials said that he had been working with a senior IAS officer as a cook and joined at the house of Lohia's friend about six months ago.

After leaving the residence of the senior IAS officer, he had worked in the garden at a senior IPS officer for a day before being kicked out from there.

The officials quoting the team of doctors claimed that though the accused was medically normal he often had bouts of anger and had violent behavioural tendencies and had been suffering from acute depression.

He was also questioned about his personal diary in which he had written "I hate my life" and "Dear death I am waiting for you", besides scribbling an entire song of Bollywood movie Aashiqi 2 -- "Bhula dena mujhe, hai alvida tujhe" (forget me as I bid you a final goodbye) -- in which the lyrics talk about separation and final goodbye.

It seemed, according to the police, the school dropout was fed up with life.

In Hindi and broken English, he has also written in his diary one-line sentences like: "I want Restart My life", "Zindagi to bas taklif deti hai, sukoon to maut hi deti hai (life only hurts, death brings peace), and "every day starts with expectation but ends with bad experience".

He wrote he was "99 per cent sad" in his life but wore a "fake smile 100 per cent".

"I am 10 per cent happy, having zero per cent love in life and 90 per cent tension in life. I hate my life which only gives pain and waiting for death to restart my life," he wrote...

POLICE SOLVED HIT AND RUN CASE.
On 27-09-2022, an information was recieved by police from a reliable source that one m/cycle which was riding by unknown rider in a very rash and negligent manner and when he reached at near Trewa Morh, Arnia the said unknown motorcyclist hit one pedestrian namely Ram Payri W/o Baldev Raj R/o ward No. 03 Arnia, Age 45 years resulting which injuries to said pedestrian lady and she was immediately shifted to GMC jammu but the said pedestrian lady on 03-10-2022 succumbed to her injuries and the Rider of the said m/cycle had fled from the spot. On this information a case FIR No. 92/2022 U/s 279/304-A of IPC was registered at and investigation was taken up, Acting sharply,swiftly and technically, a team has been constituted headed by PS Arnia Insp. Sumeet Sharma assisted by Psi Mohd Ilyas under the supervision of SP Headquarters Sh. Ramnish Gupta, and SDPO R.S Pura Sh. Surinder Singh, JKPS analysed the CCTVs installed in the area CDR analysis of different suspected person and after hectic efforts, today i.e on 09-10-2022 traced out the Said M/cycle bearing registration No.JK02CA-1052 involved in the accident. The vehicle identified as Pulsar M/cycle bearing registration number. JK02CA-1052 which was riding by Rahul Kumar S/o Yog Raj R/o Karyal, Arnia. The M/cycle has been seized and the accused person has been arrested.

In the initial investigation into the incident of death of DG Prisons, Shri. HK Lohia, it has come to fore that one domestic helper Yasir Ahmead resident of Ramban is the main accused.

Some CCTV footages collected from the incident site also shows the suspected accused running away after commission of this crime.

He was working in this house for nearly 6 months.. initial investigation reveals that he was quite aggressive in his behaviour and was also under depression as per sources.

So far no terror act is apparent as per Initial investigation but thorough probe is on to rule out any possibility. The weapon of offence has been seized besides some documentary evidence reflecting his mental state.
