*SSP Jammu convened meeting(Darbar) with Administrative staff at DPL Jammu*

Jammu: Sh. Vinod Kumar-IPS, SSP Jammu convened meeting (Darbar) of the Administrative Staff of District Police Lines, Jammu in the Conference Hall of DPL Jammu.
The Darbar was attended by almost 80 police officers/officials including SPOs/Tradesmen of different Sections of DPL Jammu viz. Deployment Section, Armoury, Kot, MT Fleet, Equipment Store, Dry Canteen, Wet Canteen, Mess etc.
At the outset of Darbar, formal introduction was held with all the participants and the participants explained about the nature of duty/work they are performing in the District Police Lines.
During the further proceedings of Darbar, SSP Jammu briefed the manpower to perform the assigned duties/tasks with utmost dedication and honesty. The manpower was also advised to remain away from any kind of addiction like drinking, smoking besides not to indulge in corrupt practises.
Moreover, the manpower was assured that their just and genuine grievances will be addressed at appropriate level.

Doda: Ravinder Raina, President, J&K BJP, visited the spot of accident at Assar, Doda, the Doda hospital and also attended the cremations of the deceased.
While visiting the spot of the accident, he interacted with the locals and was informed about the exact turn of events at the time of the tragedy.
Raina also met with DC Doda Harvinder Singh, SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom and other administrative officers to ensure the best possible facilities to the injured and the relief to the bereaved families.
Raina also met with the families of those who lost their precious lives in the most unfortunate accident, in which the ill-fated bus rolled down into the steep gorge.
In order to show solidarity, Raina also attended the cremation of the deceased at different sites.
Ravinder Raina termed the accident as the most unfortunate incident, which has shattered all. He said that the local people along with the administration took immediate measures in their capacity to help the affected. He appreciated the Doda hospital administration, which provided the best possible treatment to the injured. He expressed solidarity with the families of the deceased and said that the whole of humanity stands with them in this hour.
Ravinder Raina said that the injured persons undergoing treatment at Doda as well as in Jammu hospitals, are being given the satisfactory treatment. He again assured of every possible help to the affected ones.
Raina assured the people that BJP stands with them in this difficult hour and assured them that all possible help would be ensured to them at the earliest.
DDC Chairperson Dhanantar Singh, Vice-chairperson Sangeeta Bhagat, district President Vijay Mohan Thakur, senior leader Shashi Goswami, Shivankar Singh, Vipan Sharma and other party leaders accompanied BJP President Ravinder Raina during his visit to Assar, the Doda hospital and cremation sites.

JAMMU: Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP Vice President, held a public grievance camp at Pt Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan Kacchi Chawni Jammu and listened to the issues faced by the public. The camp witnessed a huge rush of people from across Jammu city who came to the party office to discuss their issues with senior BJP leaders.
On the occasion, Parveen Kerni, President East Mandal accompanied the senior BJP leader.
Various deputations, including individual persons--most of whom were women--visited the camp to present their grievances on issues such as ration, education, pension, PHE, PDD, revenue, power, water scarcity, roads, and other development-related topics, as well as personal issues. Yudhvir Sethi gave a patient hearing to the deputations and resolved most of their issues instantaneously by talking to the authorities concerned on the phone.
Sethi said that the BJP is committed to address the day-to-day problems being faced by the people in general and Jammu City in particular and that the party is making a sincere attempt to lessen the gap between administration and people. The senior BJP leader also stated that only BJP can fulfill the dreams and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and address their issues on a priority basis.
The public recognizes the BJP's commitment to reach out and solve their issues, and people believe in the party's ability to resolve their grievances.
Yudhvir Sethi has assured the public that he will take up the rest of their issues with the concerned authorities and get them resolved soon.

*SAMBA POLICE ARRESTED NOTORIOUS BOVINE SMUGGLER, FOILED BOVINE SMUGGLING ATTEMPT*

Samba, Nov 16 : Under the overall supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, Samba police has foiled bovine smuggling attempt, arrested notorious bovine smuggler, rescued bovine animals and seized one vehicle.
The arrested notorious bovine smuggler has been identified as Jaqoob Ali s/o Alim Din r/o Madhera tehsil and district Samba.
A case FIR No.271/2023 u/s 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Samba through Police Post Goran and investigation is underway.
The bovine smuggling attempt has been foiled by police team headed by Incharge Police Post Goran PSI Sajid Jaral under the supervision of SHO Police Station Samba Daljit Singh, DySP Garu Ram and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
*On the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh a total of ninety five (95) bovine smugglers have been arrested by Samba Police in past ten months after the launch of special drive, seventy seven (77) FIRs have been registered against bovine smugglers, sixty six (66) vehicles used for bovine smuggling have been seized and seven hundred fifty five (755) bovine animals have been rescued in Samba district.*

Jammu, November, 16th, 2023:- Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone , Shri. Anand Jain,IPS reviewed the crime position and overall functioning of District Police Reasi with all supervisory officers including SHOs, investigating officers at DPL Reasi. The disposal of cases registered during the current year and previous pendency was reviewed, discussed and instructions issued.
1. IGP Jammu Zone Shri. Anand Jain,IPS was accompanied by DIG Udhmpur-Reasi Range Sh. Suleman Choudhary,IPS and was received by SSP Reasi Sh.Amit Gupta,IPS and his team of officers. The IGP first inaugurated a Wet & Dry canteen, besides the Welfare Centre at DPL Reasi. This was followed by a crime review meeting of officers.
2. A threadbare discussion was held in the meeting on pending important under investigation cases (Police Station wise). While elaborating, it was mentioned that maintenance of law & order, prevention of crime, speedy investigation and disposal of cases, adequate attention to public grievances on day-to-day basis, special attention to public importance cases, strengthening Police-Public rapport are of utmost importance.
3. The main focus of the meeting was to improve the quality of investigation of NDPS Act and other cases. Investigation of UAPA Act cases of Reasi was also discussed. Besides, action taken under the preventive section of law was also reviewed.
4. IGP while briefing the officers advised them for finalization of the pending cases/public complaints to give relief to the general public and directed I/Os for speedy disposal of cases assigned to them for conducting the investigation.
5. The Investigation officers were also directed for follow-up parvy of their cases charge sheeted in the court of law to ensure early conviction.
6. The supervisory officers were also directed to take feedback from SHOs/I/Os on supervisory notes issued in special reported cases on a regular basis to ensure strict compliance of the guidelines issued by them.
7. SSP Reasi Sh. Amit Gupta ,IPS gave an elaborate Power Point Presentation on the prevalent security scenario of district Reasi and over all position of the crime and its disposal.
8. Moreover, IGP Jammu Zone Shri. Anand Jain,IPS also interacted with the civil society members and emphasized the need for enhanced Police Public cooperation for providing better policing. He said that the civil society has a major role to garner people’s coordination in the eradication of social crime, drug menace and other unlawful activities. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
10.While inaugurated wet canteen/dry canteen besides welfare Centre, IGP Jammu said that the facility was a dire requirement for the staff and would make available various food items at reasonable rates within the premises. Such initiatives by the seniors would benefit the staff members and enhance their working capabilities. He added.
Later while en-route IGP Jammu Shri. Anand Jain,IPS visited Police Station Reasi. He inspected the facilities made available for the Jawans/officers as also for the visiting citizens. He directed for further improvement in certain facilities of the Police Station.
