*HUGE QUANTITY OF NARCOTICS, CASH (INDIAN AND FOREIGN CURRENCY) ALONGWITH ARMS & AMMUNITION RECOVERED FROM MANDI AREA OF DISTRICT Poonch a reliable input a search operation was launched by SOG Poonch alongwith 12 Kamaoun of 93 brigade Poonch and CRPF 72 BN lead by Insp Sunil Singh in grneral area of sathra ( dana dohian) police station Mandi. During the search operation an information was recieved about the presence of narcotics arms ammunition and illegal cash in the house of one Mohd Rafi S/O Sher Mohd. The house search was carried out in presence of Executive Magistrate First Class, Mandi and NT Chandak, lambardaar, chowkidaar and member panchayat. During the seach huge quantity of drugs He**in 07 kg, one pistol one magzene 10 pistol rounds 7 rounds of 7.62mm , one khokri, one pouch, and huge amount of cash amounting Rs 2 crore 30 lacs seven thousand and 1500/- US Dollar was seized.
In this regard a case FIR No. 18/2023 is lodged and the investigation is taken up.
The whole operation was lead byb Mushim Ahmed ASP poonch Afrat Hussain DySP hqrs Poonch Aijaz Choudhary DySP PC poonch under the supervision of Sh Rohit Baksotra JKPS, SSP poonch and overall subervision of Dr Haseeb Mughal IPS, DIG Rajouri- Poonch range.
It is pertinent to mention that said accused was also involved in following FIR’s and and presently he is booked under PSA and lodged in distt jail poonch.
1). 14/2012 U/S 13/17/18/39/40 UAPA of PS Poonch.
2). 73/2012 U/S 13/18/19/20/37 UAPA 7/25 Arms Act UAPA of PS Poonch.
3). 177/2014 U/s 8/20 NDPS Act UAPA of PS Poonch.

Chinar Open 2023 Games: Baramulla youth got first position.

Gulmarg, 04th March, 2023: Ayan Zargar from Baramulla secured 1st Position in Alpine Salalom. The event was an initiative to encourage young talent of Kashmir Valley in Winter Games and witnessed participation of nearly 250 boys and girls of different age categories from all over the Kashmir. Various Ski events were conducted to include Slalom, Giant Slalom, one Km X- country and Snowboarding.

GOC 19 Inf Division was the Chief Guest on the occasion. While interacting with the participants, he appreciated their spirit and vigour. The GOC was very happy seeing the huge participation of students, especially of girls and assured his full support to the young talent in Kashmir. He informed that this is first of its kind event, which has been organized by Indian Army. He further said that in future, more such events would be conducted.

‘Glorifying terrorism in Kashmir old habit of Congress leaders but Rahul’s assertions about his meeting with terrorists a cause of great concern’

Srinagar, Feb 03: Senior BJP leader and party’s J&K spokesman Altaf Thakur Friday lashed out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his assertions that he met terrorists during his Bharat Jodo Yatra stating that was Rahul’s Yatra aimed at to ferry terrorists from South Kashmir to militancy free Srinagar.

In a statement issued here, Thakur said that Rahul’s statement that he met terrorists during in BJY has raised serious security concerns across Kashmir besides a series of questions as to whether Rahul wanted to ferry militants from South Kashmir to Srinagar that is militancy free.

“Though there is nothing new in the claims of Rahul as Congress leaders like Digvijay Singh and Mani Shanker Aiyer have been openly supporting militants and glamourising militancy. But the statement made by Rahul has once again exposed the Congress,” Thakur said, adding that it seems that in the name of BJY, Congress actually wanted to revive terrorism in Kashmir especially Srinagar as claimed by Rahul.

“Security forces have offered supreme sacrifices in wiping out the terrorism from Srinagar, but Congress wants to revive terrorism again in Srinagar, the capital city. Claims of meeting terrorists during BJY signifies that Rahul actually wanted to give safe passage to terrorists Southern districts of Valley to Srinagar under his SSG cover,” Thakur said, and urged the police top brass to probe the claims of Rahul and find out the actual reason behind BJY as it was a matter of security concern
