Bengaluru : The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that 1400 new electric BMTC buses will be included in urban transport by next April 2024.

He was talking in the programme organized by Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation after launching 100 electric buses in front of east gate of vidhansoudha .

Till now, 120 crore women have travelled for free in State Transport buses. Around 40 lakh people commute in BMTC buses. Women belonging to all caste, religion and class are travelling freely, the CM said.

The BJP criticizes the free bus travel scheme. The CM questioned as to why did the BJP not implement such pro people scheme when they were in power?

The CM explained about the positive outcome of government’s pro people schemes saying that the purchasing power of the people in the State has increased and there is a boom in the financial activities which boosts the economy of the state. Farm and women labourers and women from the working class are able to save enough money. This is helping them to meet their other financial needs and has also increased the financial power of such families.

4.30 crore people are enjoying the benefits of the guarantee schemes. With the increased financial power, the poor and working class are being enabled to come into the main stream. This was made possible only after Congress came into power. The previous BJP government which has failed in achieving this are engaged in criticizing us.

Shivajinagar MLA Rizwan Arshad presided over th function and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, transport minister Ramalongareddy were present.

RDPR Minister Priyank Kharge, Higher Education Minister Dr. M C Sudhakar, Sports Minister Nagendra, Medical Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil, MLC U B Venkatesh, Chief Minister's political secretary Govindaraju, Nasir Ahmed and others were present.

"Darkness under the lamp" saying goes best with darkness in front of Hescom office at Belgaum.

Belgaum city is considered as the second capital of Karnataka. Hescom officials of Belgaum, Belgaum Cantonment Board and Corporation seem to disagree with the above statement, said Prasad D Kulkarni zrucc member South Western Railway Hubli Zone Belgaum and bjp executive member Belgaum Mahanagar.
Ignoring the street lights in front of Belgaum railway station, the street lights have been non-existent for the people travelling on this road.The problem is the same from the railway station to Postman Circle.
Surprisingly, Hescom's office is in front of the railway station and that's where the kingdom of darkness resides.
Traveling at night on this road has become very dangerous. Mr . Prasad also appealed to the concerned authorities to pay attention to the installation of street lights in front of the railway station and from railway station up to Postman Circle.

Street lights Installed in Tilakwadi Bhangi Passage:An initiative by Nitin Jadhav

Belgaum:
In a meeting held with the citizens of Ward No.29 in Millennium Garden, Citizens Requested installation of streetlights in Bhangi Passage at Tilakwadi . Corporator Nitin /Jadhav promised that it will be installed as soon as possible and he fulfilled it within eight days.
Under the guidance of MLA Abhay Patil, and efforts of corporator Nitin Jadhav, Bhangi Passage from Somwar Peth to Shukrawar Peth in Tilakwadi have been completely cleaned and lights have been installed there. This is the first time that such a task has been implemented since the Tilakwadi area came into existence. Corporator Nitin Jadhav has appealed to the citizens instead of throwing garbage in Bhangi passage ,to use it as a service road for parking of two-wheelers, walking.
Citizens expressed satisfaction and thanked MLA Abhay Patil and corporator Nitin Jadhav for keeping their word.

Belgaum:
BJP corporator Abhijit Javalkar, who was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in connection with the fatal attack, was arrested by the Tilakwadi police and sent to jail. Two days ago, Abhijit Javalkar had objected to Ramesh Patil's illegal mobile tower construction.
On this background, a group of ten people including Ramesh Patil, a resident of the place, violently attacked him.
Against this backdrop, Abhijit javalkar filed a complaint at the Tilakwadi police station against Ramesh patil and was admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
After the protest by MES on Sunday afternoon, Tilakwadi police went to the hospital and arrested Javalkar.

Interestingly, while he was being treated in the hospital, the police took him away without discharging him. This has created a new controversy.
Former MLA Anil Benake said that the BJP has taken serious note of this and the BJP delegation has decided to meet the police commissioner tomorrow on 27th. He said that the BJP has decided to fight this battle at the state level.

Deepotsav, festival of lights,celebrated with enthusiasm at Hulabatte Colony

Corporator Girish Dhongdi of ward no 24,was the chief guest for the festival of lights,Deepotsav,at Hulabatte Colony.L

Lamp lighting and Rangoli drawing program was held with a lot of enthusiasm at Hulabatte Colony, 3rd Cross, Belgaum.

With the aim of dispelling the darkness in the society, light lamps were lit on behalf of Hulabte Colony Mahila Mandal on Saturday evening. The entire area was illuminated by this light.

Mahila Mandal chief Preeti Kamat, Aruna Kakatkar, Aarti Sharma, Sanjana Raikar, Hungarikar, Netalkar, Sambrekar, Chaludkar, Heda and other Mahila Mandal members, and all the colony residents were present.

Girish Dhongdi quickly solved the water problem in Hattiholi Galli.

Belgaum:
There was a water problem in Hatthiholi Galli, in ward no.24. The resident requested the corporator Girish Dhongdi to find a solution.
Girish Dhongdi discussed with MLA Abhay Patil and under his guidance, five taps on each side of the road of hattiholi Galli have been installed by connecting the bore tank with a pipeline through the street.
On this occasion, Harsh Bekwad, Gajanan Nakadi, Shahapurkar, and other citizens were present.
Residents, women's group and especially senior citizens thanked MLA Abhay Patil and Corporator Girish Dhongdi for the quick response and good work.

Belagavi Cantonment Board CEO k.Anand commited su***de...!!

Belgaum- The CEO of the board committed su***de after the CBI officials raided the office of the Belgaum Cantonment Board and conducted an investigation.

The incident of CEO su***de at his residence in Belagavi camp area has come to light this morning. Belagavi Dandumandal CEO K. Anand passed away mysteriously at Anand's government residence,in Belagavi camp area.

Ananda, who has been serving as CEO of the cantonment Board for the past one and a half years, joined Indian Defense Estate Service's. K. Ananda was originally from Tamil Nadu. The staff informed the camp police when the door of the house was not opened this morning.

K.Anand was found dead when police broke opened the door and entered.

MLIRC Brigadier and Khadebazar ACP visited the place and inspected.

A few days ago, the CBI raided the Belgaum cantonment Board. It may be recalled that CBI raids were conducted on the basis of private complaints about illegal recruitment and illegal work.

Belgaum:
Belgaum Citizens of the city and surrounding areas are facing various forms of civic problems. Development works have now been initiated to solve them immediately. Development works, through MLA fund were done in Ward No. 29 of Belgaum South Division. New drainage pipe line, gas pipe line have been installed at Radha Krishna Marg 1st Cross in Ward No. 29 and as all the rain water from Hindwadi was getting stored at 1st Cross, due to which the road were not lasting for many years. Considering this, a cement road was made after 15 years. The residents of ward no 29 expressed their satisfaction and thanked that the corporator Nitin N Jadhav got these works done after following up rigorously with MLA Abhay Patil.

भाजपा शक्ती प्रदर्शनाला होते सर्व,पुन्हा येणार अभय पर्व.... बेळगाव उत्तर मधील भाजपचे उमेदवार डॉ. रवी पाटील आणि दक्षिण मधील भाजपचे उमेदवार अभय पाटील यांनी आपले उमेदवारी अर्ज दाखल केले. या निमित्ताने जोरदार शक्तिप्रदर्शन झाले. त्यामुळे शहरातील वातावरण दुमदुमले होते. भारतीय जनता पक्षाच्या उमेदवारांनी वरिष्ठ पक्ष नेत्यांच्या उपस्थितीत उमेदवारी अर्ज दाखल केले. शहरातील प्रमुख मार्गांवरून भव्य मिरवणूक काढून अर्ज दाखल करण्यात आले .

वाहनांमधून उभे राहून नागरिकांच्या शुभेच्छांचा स्वीकार करीत ही मिरवणूक काढण्यात आली. यावेळी भारतीय जनता पक्षाचे प्रभारी अरुण सिंग यांच्यासह अनेक पक्षनेते उपस्थित होते. त्यांनी भारतीय जनता पक्षाचे उमेदवार विजयी होतील असा विश्वास व्यक्त केला.

उमेदवारी अर्ज भरण्याचा आजचा शेवटचा दिवस असल्यामुळे अनेक उमेदवारांनी आणि त्यांच्या समर्थकांनी अर्ज भरणा केंद्रांचा परिसर व्यापला होता .

बेळगाव चवाट गल्ली येथील रहिवाशी माझे सासरे मधुकर मऱ्याप्पा भोसले वय वर्षे 83 यांची चवाट गल्ली येथील राहत्या घरी दिनांक 14/04/2023 रोजी रात्री 10.00 चे सुमारास अल्पशा आजाराने दुःखद निधन झाले आहे. 15/04/2023 रोजी सकाळी 10.30 च्या दरम्यान चवाट गल्ली स्मशानात अन्तविधि होणार आहे. सोमवार दिनांक 17/04/2023 रोजी सकाळी 8.00 वाजता राख भरणी आहे. त्यांचे पश्चात दोन मुली, दोन मुले, सुना, नातवंडे असा परिवार आहे.

१ किलो १०५ ग्रॅम गांजा जप्त, खानापूर पोलिसांची कारवाई

खानापूर तालुक्यात गांजा विक्रीच्या घटना सतत घडत आहेत. याची खानापूर पोलिसांनी दखल घेऊन शुक्रवारी दि. १७ राजी सायंकाळी ६.४५ वाजता खानापूर शहरापासून जवळ असलेल्या रूमेवाडी क्रॉसजवळ मन्सूर आप्पालाल कमानदार वय ३९, रा.पारिश्वाड (ता. खानापूर) व रामचंद्र नागाच्या शिंदे वय ६३,रा. लक्केबैल (ता. खानापूर) यांच्याकडून अमली पदार्थ गांजा विक्री होत असल्याची माहिती मिळताच खानापूर पोलिस ठाण्याचे सीपीआय रामचंद्र नाईक व सहकाऱ्यांनी बैलहोंगल डीएसपी रवी नायक यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली चोरून गांजा विक्री करणाऱ्यां १ किलो १०५ ग्रॅम वजनाचा गांजा तसेच सोबत स्कूटी केए २२ एच एम ०९१२ दुचाकी जप्त करून त्यांच्यावर ६१ / २०२३ कलम २० बी, एन डीपी एस गुन्हा दाखल करून सदर आरोपींना न्यायालयात हजर केले आहे.
याबाबत बेळगाव एस पी यांनी खानापूर पोलिसस्थानकाचे अभिनंदन केले आहे.
