Welcome to Nine One, where self-taught chef Samaira Kavatkar, also known as The Bombay East Indian Girl, showcases Indian cuisine in a new light.
Drawing inspiration from her Indian-Portuguese heritage, Kavatkar offers an array of flavourful dishes that break away from the usual fare. Fair warning: there are no curries at Nine One.

To mark their sixth anniversary in Hong Kong, Shake Shack has teamed up with Lorenzo Antinori of Bar Leone to create the Carbonara Shake.
The shake is a blend of vanilla frozen custard, bourbon, sea salt, malt powder, black pepper and sweet egg yolk, and comes topped with whipped cream and applewood-smoked bacon. It’s available from June 5 at IFC and then June 6, at all other venues, to July 16, and can be made without alcohol.
