Some awards from the night...

Chaz and Soph share the award for the most drunk (the jury's out as to who was worse though), Ed wins the award for the best dance moves, and Russ takes home sexiest beard (as judged by a random woman on the night).

The whole team deserve recognition for their efforts finishing all the alcohol we ordered for the table - it must have been so tough guys! 😔

GUESS WHO'S BACK! CHAZ IS BACK!

After successfully completing my final year at university, I have decided to return to VDM. Last year I was just an intern, but I'm coming back as a Creative Marketing Assistant - don't that sound fancy 👀

As you can see, the mood in the office is electric - apparently it's been a pretty dull year without me 😳

A lot has changed since I was last here though. The guys have been absolutely smashing it. The quality of work is better than ever before and I'm sure they'd all agree with me when I say, there's so much more to come.

Naturally, I'm stoked to be a part of it.

Bringing brands to life online is what we do.

But what happens when the brand offers a service that deals with very sensitive, personal issues for their clients, like counselling services? 🤔

Firstly, we work very closely with our client as part of the strategy and planning process. We get to fully understand the service offering, and the most appropriate ways to communicate to people who would benefit from the support.

Then we use all our marketing and design skills to ensure the end product is a true reflection of their personality and service. 💫

Louise from St Neots Counselling clearly articulated to us her attitude to the job she does and the good it can do for people.

We were able to create a website that captures her warm, empathetic, non-judgmental approach to counselling and makes it as easy as possible for users, who may be distressed, to reach out to her.

Hot Off The Press (nearly)...

We had the pleasure of having author Scott McCarthy at VDM agency HQ last week with copies of his brand-new book, The First PanDoodle, which our super-talented Amy Ashford beautifully illustrated and designed.

It's been a really long journey working on this project, extracting the vision from Scott's mind, creating all the characters, and then visualising all the book spreads to complete hopefully the first of 6 books!

There is something truly wonderful about seeing it finalised, all bought together in a lovely hard-back finish. And signed by the author and illustrator! 😁

We are super excited to announce that we are involved with Cambridge Standing Tall Trail 2024. 🦒

Our talented illustrator, Amy Ashford😀 has dusted down her easel, cleaned her brushes, and got her step-ladder out of the garage, to take on the challenge of painting a giraffe on behalf of our client, Welch's Transport Ltd

This is a fantastic opportunity for Amy to showcase her skills to have 'Evie' on show throughout Cambridge between March and June next year. The Standing Tall Trail will capture the imagination of the hundreds and thousands of Cambridge residents and visitors who are expected to journey across the trail next year.

For those of you who can't wait until next Spring, we will be capturing the painting process in a series of videos and photos, whilst 'Evie' gets her clothes on! 😀

Belly laughs and big brands! It's been an awesome experience working with the incredibly modest local legend, Harrison Leigh. His success with The Famileigh's TikTok content (if you haven't seen it yet, check it out!) is amazing, especially when you realise he's in his mid-20s! He's already worked with the likes of L'Oreal and Hooch, among some impressive others. His new venture (yes, he's already founded an exciting new business!) is helping put new talent in touch with brands seeking exciting, creative ways to get in front of potential customers. Here’s us planning the creation of a children’s book - look how fast we are! Really though - this process took a near three hours… and we only got half way through! It was both creatively stimulating and mentally draining, and we loved it. You guys will have to wait a little bit to see this one, but believe us when we say, it'll be worth it 😁

💫Nailing a brief 💫 We've been busy over the last couple of months creating but also updating websites for some new and existing clients. One of those is a client whose website came to us with so much content that invariably, some of the important stuff was getting lost. By reducing the entry points on the Home Page from 76 down to just 16 we made slick the customer journey, improving user experience no end. Final Chapter - Going Live! The new logo and branding, packaging and photography were all pieces of a larger puzzle - the website.
