Who hasn’t dreamed of leaving everything behind and moving to the countryside, to a small stone cottage to knit without worries? 🌿 Astrid made that dream come true when she moved from Denmark to Burgundy, France, and renovated an old barn that became her home and the workshop of Biches & Bûches. 🧶

With admirable dedication, she combines her work as a freelance translator with managing her yarn business, while finding time every day to create new designs inspired by nature and the Scandinavian landscapes of her childhood. 🌲

The most special part is her yarns, made from the highest quality natural fibers, spun by a family-run company in Scotland and an Italian mill. 🌟 Astrid’s story is a reminder that with passion and effort, dreams can become reality. ✨

Sus proyectos son de los más tejidos en la actualidad. En nuestras páginas os contamos su historia e inspiración, y aquí os dejamos una breve reseña de su trayectoria.

✨ Conoce a Mette Wendelboe Okkels, la mente creativa detrás de PetiteKnit! ✨

Desde 2016, Mette ha estado transformando su pasión por el tejido en un negocio que inspira a tejedoras de todo el mundo. Con más de 200 proyectos disponibles, sus diseños están pensados para disfrutarlos con calma, entre sorbos de café y prestando atención a esos pequeños detalles que hacen cada prenda única. ☕🧶

Aunque Mette estudió Medicina durante diez años, su camino tomó un giro inesperado cuando decidió convertir su amor por el punto en su profesión. Su abuela le enseñó a tejer cuando tenía solo seis años, y desde entonces, las agujas y los ovillos se convirtieron en su refugio. Hoy, el punto es una parte inseparable de su vida, un espacio de tranquilidad que encuentra en cualquier lugar, ya sea en una acogedora cafetería o en casa, escuchando un buen audiolibro. 📚✨
