New Show Alert ⚓️
Spinning on the reggae circuit for almost 2 decades, Anarkali’s destiny was written from day one as her father would place speakers around her cot and play reggae music to rock her to sleep.
From age 15 Anarkali was already spinning in clubs. Being under age, DJing was the only way she could get into the venues.
Fast forward to 21, Elektra moved to London with a small box of 12’’ records and landed her first gig alongside The Last Poets in Shoreditch.
She has since played all over the world sharing the decks with the likes of Sir David Rodigan, Aba Shanti & Channel One Soundsystems.
Her most recent highlight was Boomtown this year, with more adventures on the horizon including a monthly show here aboard ship!

Papa Face, where do we even start?! This man encompasses decades of wisdom and knowledge within the realms of reggae & sound system culture.
His passion & influence continues to leave a profound impact on everyone he meets.
In the late 70s early 80’s, Face had his own Brixton based sound system Mafia Black who played with and against all the top South London sounds. From there he went on to establish a successful career as an artist with hits on Dub Vendor’s affiliated record label Fashion.
In 1984 Papa Face and a full live band performed for John Peel as part of the ‘Peel Sessions’ at Maida Vale. During this time he had several Top Ten tunes in the Reggae Charts including ‘Dance Pon The Corner’ and ‘To The Bump’
He was also well known for working at London's Dub Vendor record shop which is where he met Sir @davidramjamrodigan
The pair established one of London’s longest running Saturday night reggae clubs at Gossips in the West End, followed by Rodigan’s Reggae at West London’s Subterrania.

Hip-hop has progressed from a street corner to one of the most important musical genres and cultural impacts in the world.
Hip-hop, like any other style of music, has its roots in other forms, and its evolution was shaped by many different artists.
There’s a case to be made that it came to life precisely on August 11 1973 on a birthday celebration in the recreation room of an apartment building in New York City’s west Bronx by D.J. Kool Herc, hip-hop’s founding father.
