Today at 3pm: The Stars Below. Hosted by Anne Duffau, in this episode speaks to artist filmmaker .williams.gamaker about making, sharing, listening and learning together.
In her work, Michelle Williams Gamaker's Fictional Activism proposes critical alternatives to imperialist storytelling in British and Hollywood studio films by restaging them and recasting their characters. Tonight at 10pm: Gwaith Sŵn's Sonic Darts presents an hour long edit of a binaural field recording made by Paul Freeman a week prior to this transmission, walking the length of the Hogsmill River in South West London. The river is a rare chalk stream, one of only 210 in the world. It springs in Ewell Village and makes its way through suburban nature reserves, crossing under the occasional railway line and road until it joins the Thames at Kingston.

🎧 The recording was made using head mounted microphones to record in the binaural method, so for the full effect it's recommended to listen on headphones.

Tonight at 8pm: Transmitter. Lucia Scazzocchio from is in conversation with Ed Baxter who has recently stepped down as Resonance creative director after being at the helm for over 22 years.
Ed selects a number of audio works that he initiated, directed or produced during this time, with a common theme of 'creating the conditions for something to happen'. These radio experiments are a wonderful example of what occurs when this medium is stretched and contorted, allowing for the unexpected whilst setting out imaginative parameters.
Works included are: Score for Open-heart Surgery on Charlie Watts, Shut Your Eyes to Art, SpeedDataRadio, The Exeter Whisper, Fifth Sketch for Ascent and Descent, Intimacy and Distance and Millions Flee as California Burns.
