In 2021 we launched the Global Residency. For many years there were artists we wanted to work with who couldn’t commit to an ongoing weekly show and also new artists we were passionate about and wanted to help them breakthrough.
So far, we’ve run 2 seasons which have included ABSOLUTE, Shimza, DJ Seinfeld, Pendulum, DJ Paulette and more.
Highlights include Real Lies and their UNREAL radio format - produced by the band themselves - we promise it’s some of the best radio content in recent times. DJ Paulette who currently features her Global Residency mixes on Apple Music.
Meanwhile, Shimza is our first Global Residency artist who has taken over the concept completely for the next 2 months before beginning his brand new weekly show in March - more news to follow on that soon.
In 2019 we developed the Conversations with Susie Pearl podcast. The acclaimed series featured guests including KT Tunstall, Jasmine Hemsley, Ricki Lake and to launch, Susie welcomed David Lynch to discuss creativity, meditation and so much more. We highly recommend you add every episode to your listening list if you missed them first time around.
Listen across Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
2017-2018
Taking over the reigns from Carl Cox was Eats Everything and Gorgon City.
Whilst Eats was already a familiar voice on radio - Gorgon City were relatively newcomers to the airwaves.
We developed KINGDOM radio to introduce the already chart topping band as DJs to radio stations and fans all over. This was a world first - the duo were the first signed band in the world to have a syndicated radio show.
Also around this time we partnered with Joris Voorn on Spectrum radio, who recently celebrated the brand with a live episode broadcast from Amsterdam Dance Event.
More memories from various live broadcasts around the world including Drumcode Live from Awakenings Festival 2014 and Carl Cox Global live at Space Ibiza.

October 2012.
Carl Cox’s Global remains one of the proudest projects we’ve ever worked on running from 2003-2017.
Carl celebrated his 500th episode by hosting a party during the Amsterdam Dance Event at the legendary Gashoulder with Awakenings.
We built a radio studio on site and Carl along with co-host Charlie Hedges hosted a very special 8-hour broadcast that went live to FM stations all over the world.
The Radio Department also produced a short film on the event.
The intro sequence, seen here — includes the now iconic show opener to the weekly show featuring Vika Kova that was also used as an opener for Carl’s club sets for many years.
Whilst digging into our archives we discovered some projects we completely forgot about including this one - The Popjustice Podcast. In 2007 this would have been one the world’s very first pop podcasts, brilliantly written by the team at Popjustice and presented by the Sugababes.
May 26th 2006 was the date of ASOT 250 and was celebrated with a live broadcast from Club Asta in The Hague to Armin’s growing network of international radio stations.
Another significant moment - Armin truly set the blueprint for how live broadcasts could be done.
A special thanks to Gijs who has been our partner on every single live broadcast since this day.
In 2005, we signed our third syndicated radio show - Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance.
Until this point, it existed as a Dutch language show broadcasting only in the Netherlands, but nevertheless was a huge cult hit around the world via file sharing.
We began syndicating it in English for the first time from episode 185 and the rest is history.
Over 20 years later, it remains one of the most important electronic music shows in the world - broadcast on over 140 key radio stations to over 30 million people on FM alone, not including its significant audiences online and across streaming services.
Armin van Buuren, his long-term co-host Ruben de Ronde and the whole team at Armada are huge champions on why radio is so important - this partnership is another one we are so proud to be a part of.
2004 was the year podcasts were invented. We jumped into this new medium immediately working in collaboration with NHS Westminster Primary Care Trust on a sexual health podcast series called Bedroom Business.
The project involved working with schools and youth groups in the area producing a music track and video and a 6 part podcast series.
This was a truly groundbreaking project, one that was incredibly ahead of its time and was the first podcast @nhsengland ever commissioned. 19 years later, we are still incredibly proud of it.

They also stunned fans this summer with surprise performances at Reading and Leeds Festival and are preparing for 2 sold out shows at London’s Brixton Academy in March.
They will join newly announced Shimza alongside current residents Real Lies and DJ Paulette for a monthly show available to FM and Digital stations worldwide.
This week we can reveal the new artists joining the Global Residency from November.
First up is one of the true leaders in South Africa’s music scene and a figure head in the exploding Afro-Tech sound worldwide - Shimza.
With a huge global fan base and regular appearances at some of the biggest festivals and events in the world including Burning Man, Resistance, Ushuaia Ibiza and Boiler Room, we can’t wait to hear what he brings to this brand new monthly radio show.
