QEST Funding Applications Opening Soon
The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST), the charity that supports aspiring craftspeople in the UK through further training and education, is open for a new round of applications from 10 July to 14 August 2023. For details, visit: www.qest.org.uk/apply

We're excited to announce the launch of our Emerging Makers Grant Programme.

This new funding opportunity supports talented early-career craft makers in their professional development. Committed makers with four years or less of professional practice, who have a strong connection to materials, technical skills and processes, can apply for up to £10,000.

This funding will specifically support training and education programs to help makers enhance their craft skills and advance their careers. The training can take many forms, from traditional college courses to vocational one-on-one training with a master craftsperson, or a bespoke programme of short courses.

The first application round will open on 10 July 2023 and more information on how to apply can be seen here: https://www.qest.org.uk/apply/emerging-maker-grants/

As Queen Elizabeth II has been laid to rest, we say farewell to Her Majesty. We will forever be grateful for her support of the headwear industry. "The Queen was really the patron saint of millinery. The entire industry of millinery would not be what it is today without the Queen." – Stephen Jones

“She was acutely aware of the power of fashion, and I think she was very respectful of the craft of fashion too,” the celebrated British milliner tells Vogue.
