Trade show season is here with a swing in this issue we give you an insight into the Ibiza Fashion Festival that was held on 4th July (and wasn’t that a day to remember!).
We optimistically hope with the change of government that there will be real progress in helping our high streets up and down the country – lower business rates for those smaller retailers; investment in local high streets (addressing problems of parking availability and cost); focus on combating retail crime; review of corporate tax to encourage more investment and of course a review on regulations to prevent their overbeating impact. All these issues have been on the agenda for way too long.
On a lighter note, we take a special look at what is happening at Vollers Corsets which has new owners who intend to revitalise this 125 year old truly British brand! And of course summer and especially a summer which welcomes the Olympic and Paralympic Games gives us a chance to look at sports bras and athleisure – technical innovations continue to push the market forward.
