It’s well and truly spring in the northern hemisphere, so we thought we’d throw it back to our Spring 2023 issue which we are still so in love with! A few of our favourite things about this issue:
★ The models! We had the privilege of having trans and intersex activists and as models, and the joy and gorgeousness they brought to these knits is still palpable.
★ The palette 🎨 The yarns featured in this issue just glow and the pattern designers mixed shades and fibres to perfection.
★ The ex*****on of the theme 💫 From photographer ’s vision, to the designers’ interpretation of the “layers” theme, to our graphic designers’ layout of the images and cover design itself, this was Pom Pom collaboration at its best.

A very small handful of Issue 44: Spring 2023 is still available to US customers in print, and of course it’s still available digitally wherever you are in the world, springtime or not 💚

Our penultimate issue, 47: Autumn 2023 featured an account of our co-founder ’s visit to the cooperatives of last April. Pom Pom’s other co-founder is headed there soon with and is excited to see the magic behind the brand for herself. Manos del Uruguay’s beautiful yarns are created fair trade in co-ops across the Uruguayan countryside. You can read more about their amazing ethos and values on their website, and more about this annual trip in Issue 47. We’ll share some behind the scenes of the trip, where Meghan is excited to also get to catch up with our longtime friend and collaborator, . What would you like to see or find out about this incredible company and their talented craftspeople? Let us know in the comments and we’ll do our best to share first-hand.

“For her, the act of weaving was not only a way to honour her ancestors and preserve the rich heritage of the Navajo people but a way to make a living in Navajo Country... Growing up surrounded by the beautiful weavings of my great-grandmother and others from my clan had a profound impact on me. They became more than just pieces of art; they became a part of my identity.” reflects on her own experience of the intertwining of weaving and knitting in our woven-themed issue. We couldn’t have hoped for a more perfect final feature for our last issue. Read more in Issue 48 - still available digitally via our site.

We also 100% recommend checking with your local yarn shop - many have pre-orders of their own open so you can guarantee your copy come next Thursday. It's also a wonderful way to show beloved small businesses your support.

Are you a shop who will have Issue 48 on your shelves? Comment below so our readers can find you! ♥️

Middlebrooks by is a pattern that really encapsulates how different textile techniques can be combined. Middlebrooks is both knit AND woven, creating a statement scarf that is as graphic as it is cosy. Designer Marie Régnier has utilised double knitting to create weaveable strands that interlock before grafting for a neat finish.

We have loved publishing so many of Marie's designs over the years, which are always both ingenious and exquisitely finished. Middlebrooks will be available in Issue 48, on shelves on 18 January, or available for digital pre-order on our site.

Tartan plaid was on ' mind when she was designing Ordito (which means ‘warp’ in Italian), using slip stitches to create
the appearance of warp and weft. Specifically, she was thinking of the féileadh-mór, the precursor of the modern tailored kilt, which was a large, blanket-like piece of fabric belted at the waist.

The are one of the patterns in our last issue, out later this month. Print copies are sold out on our site, but check at your LYS or pre-order the digital version at pompommag.com.

Our classic book, Ready Set Raglan, takes the straightforward raglan-sleeve pullover as a blank canvas and walks you through all the ways to make it your own. We offer blueprints for eight distinct raglans and coach you through choosing perfect-for-you necklines, hemlines, ribbing, stitch textures, and fancy raglan increases. And, of course, we show you how to create jaw-dropping colour combinations.

Our raglans are designed to empower improving knitters with customisation skills, but also to free advanced knitters to fly through stressless shapes, easy customisations, and the joys of colourplay. For the truly adventurous, we even provide a formula to design your own raglan!

Ready Set Raglan is still available in print to our US and UK customers, or digitally wherever you are in the world ♥️

Happy winter to those of you in the northern hemisphere! How many of you have been celebrating with yarn and needles? One of our favourite ways to embrace winter is with this beautiful book, Knits About Winter, which we published with in 2018. Emily knows (and loves) winter better than most and her designs and aesthetic are the perfect way to settle in to the season.

We still have copies of this gorgeously comforting book in stock in print for our US-based customers and it is still available digitally no matter where you are ♥️❄️

We've been taking many trips down memory lane the last couple of months, and one of our favourite moments from Poms past is our 10th anniversary photo shoot! This commemorative edition is two-sided with an autumn/winter half, and a spring/summer half. We worked with some of our favourite designers and had a blast creating the photos for this issue, which feature not just knitwear, but a skateboard, piles of yarn, and many, many disco balls.

We still have a few of this collectible edition left in print on our site 🪩

We're delighted to announce that is the final sponsor of our year-long make-along for the month of December! We share a deep love of the colour yellow, as you can see from two of our favourite designs in her yarns!

One lucky winner will receive this wonderfully yellow prize featuring the colour Yellow Brick Road on the bases Corrie Confetti and Mohair Silk. To enter, all you need to do is post one of your Pom Pom projects from any issue or book - finished or not! - and tag .

Thank you for sharing your projects with us all these years. One of the great joys of Pom Pom has been seeing your makes out in the world - every post on the internet and meeting in IRL has meant so much to us 💛
