In commemoration of the Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day on May 8th, BBC ALBA is set to air the Gaelic Language version of 'A BEAR NAMED WOJTEK' with English subtitles. Also available on BBC iPlayer

Displaced by the Second World War, a troop of Polish soldiers find an inseparable bond through an orphaned bear they name Wojtek.
The half hour special tells the fantastic journey of an orphaned Syrian brown bear who was adopted by Polish soldiers during World War II, becoming a beacon of hope and an emblem of their fate.
The film has been co-producted by Illuminated Films, Filmograf and Wojtek Animation. Directed by Iain Gardner, produced by Iain Harvey and Wlodzimierz Matuszewski, written by Wojciech Lepianka, music by Normand Roger.
Cast include: Bill Paterson, Richard Gadd, Shauna MacDonald, Michael Golab, Tomek Borkowy, James Sutherland, Piotr Baumann, Remi Rachuba.

A third series of adventures for Dave Spud, his family, best friends, and band of monsters has been confirmed. The Illuminated Film Company is producing
We worked with young people from Cleethorpes Academy to introduce them to the animation industry and how to create an animated series. Using the question ‘Where do all the boats go?’ for the Festival of the Sea Grimsby, in the workshop the fantastic kids produced designs of the ships and recorded their own voice overs. Here is the final film produced for the festival featuring our own Grimsby kid, The Rubbish World of Dave Spud!
Where do all the boats go? A Festival of the Sea and Illuminated Films collaboration supported by ITV featuring The Rubbish World of Dave Spud. Created with students of Cleethorpes Academy. Festival of the Sea is produced by Walk the Plank and The Culture House.
Vessels can be seen daily sailing up and down the Humber estuary and this project will enable young people to understand how Grimsby is connected to the world using data from local marine industries, and their work will be shared at the festival and online.
