How would you feel facing 2500m of climbing when you can see snowflakes at breakfast? Today’s Giro stage is in question as the riders protest against riding over the Umbrail Pass. They are certainly not shying away from the challenge but where is the line between entertainment (of the fans and tv rights holders) and the riders safety? It’s never dull at a Grand Tour, that’s for sure!

What a race! The average cycling fan will tune into the Tour de France and enjoy the spectacle, yet not every single one of those fans will watch Giro d’Italia. However the race for the pink jersey never disappoints. 3 weeks, 3,400.8km with 44,650 metres of climbing, it’s brutal. The difference to the TdF is the people. Having worked on both grand tours, the passion of the Italians make the Giro somehow more organic. Today was no exception with the tactical mastery that means the race, has pretty much been won today by Tadej Pogacar on stage 15 (a week before the race officially finishes). But we will look forward to another weeks racing to see who will lift the 🏆 . Go G!
