BioMed Research International has now been reindexed in the Web of Science Core Collection: https://ow.ly/cOVB50ReeZw

It will receive a new Impact Factor in Summer 2024.

We've been making improvements to the journal to ensure we are developing it to support the biomedical community of researchers. As part of this, our in-house Editorial team recently carried out a thorough review of the journal’s section list to ensure the journal provides the biomedical community with valuable research that aligns with the original aims and scope. As a result of this community-led analysis, we have made the decision to update the scope and the list of sections has been narrowed to display key topics.

This announcement recognizes the continual efforts we are making to correct the scholarly record, as well as the value this journal provides to the academic community.

This positive step underlines our commitment to maintaining research integrity amidst challenges in journal publishing research. We will continue working with our author communities and key indexing services to ensure the highest standards of quality are met.

Our story

Founded in 1997 by Ahmed Hindawi and Nagwa Abdelmottaleb, Hindawi Limited is a leading publisher of scholarly journals.

At the end of January 2007, we sold our last subscription journals, the International Mathematics Research Notices (IMRN) series, to Oxford University Press. In the following weeks, we “flipped” our two remaining subscription journals to Open Access. Since then, every article in a Hindawi journal has been freely available upon publication.

As one of the world’s largest Open Access publishers, we provide authors with an expansive portfolio of journals through which they can deliver their research to the broadest possible audience.

Submissions are handled by expert academic editors from within the community that each journal serves. Authors benefit from easy submission, rigorous peer review, and timely editorial decisions.
