OUT NEXT WEEK 📚: Mental illness can happen to anyone
In 2020, Dr Sharon Hasting wrote about her journey through depression, mania and psychosis – and discovering God’s strength in a place of brokenness – in her first book, Wrestling With My Thoughts. Five years on, she has completed her memoir of recovery, 'Tending To My Thoughts' which outlines her path towards wholeness 🌱
Passionate about helping anyone who suffers from 'severe and enduring mental illness' (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and schizoaffective disorder), Sharon wants the church to know about these illnesses, how they can devastate ordinary people and how they need to be treated. By telling her story, warts and all, showing her own painful journey, she equips us to come alongside loved ones, fellow church members, friends and neighbours, understanding the social and spiritual ramifications of their illnesses, including them in our activities (where appropriate) and encouraging their spiritual growth 🌿
A natural storyteller, Sharon draws us in. With wisdom, kindness and the heart of a bruised survivor, she interweaves her exceptional story with vital teaching which simply cannot be ignored by anyone within the church today 👀

Join Tom to hear about our July 2021 Releases:
> From Pentecost to Patmos

> Faithful: Keswick Study Guide
> A Place for God
We interviewed Pete Nicholas, author of 'A Place for God' about his new book too!
Find out more about our releases: https://ivpbooks.com/blog/the-ivp-july-2021-releases.html
ft. some other books and a couple from our friends The Good Book Company UK + 10ofthose.com
A Place for God. Have we decluttered too much?
Lockdown gave us plenty of time to declutter.
Marie Kondo suggests we can find joy - even with just 30 books*.
Pete Nicholas wonders if in the process of progress, in the mess of tidying up, we've forgotten something important.
Or, more to the point, someone.
A Place for God. Out tomorrow: https://ivpbooks.com/blog/the-ivp-july-2021-releases.html
*obviously, we disagree, but it's out there as an opinion.

Grateful to Andy Bannister of Solas for his warm words about our latest 'Food for the Journey' devotional.
Wondering how you can have confident faith? This little book takes gold from years of Keswick Ministries convention teaching, and repackages it in an undated 30-day devotional.
Out later this month, available from us, and all good offline and online bookshops!
