New release of Blu-Ray DVD 'Letter To Brezhnev' is out now.

Onomatopoeia Post had a fantastic time listening to Director Chris Bernard & Writer Frank Clarke reminisce the amazing stories from 30 years ago while filming of this 80s classic.
The Film? Well Two Merseyside girls escape their humdrum lives for a night on the town, where they meet two Russian sailors on shore leave. For Teresa (Margi Clarke), it's a welcome bit of fun, but for Elaine (Alexander Pigg) it turns into much more.

This year has been the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death and the British Council has commissioned a number of short films to be produced in celebrating his playwriting.

Read it here "5 Reasons the Liverpool Indie Film Scene is Boss…"

‘Filmmaker’ is such a loaded word – it implies that all I want to do is produce, to ‘make’. To show other people what I’ve done, without any care for their work. But this couldn’t be further from the truth. Any form of art is about expression as much as it is absorbing what’s going on around you.

It’s September – which is the official month of Scalarama, which is an unofficial month of cinema – and I want to tell you about what I’ve found so far on my journey through the Liverpool indie film community, and how – if you so choose – you can join in too.

So, not sure what to see this Autumn at the cinema? Well thankfully you can rely on Guardian film who have published their top 40 films!

Yes this has some good old big budget films (Sausage Party looks pretty hilarious), however they have also weaved in some cracking indie films such as A Quiet Passion (not that we're biased) and the film makers from the documentary AMY are back bringing you warts-and-all delights of the Gallagher Brothers through Supersonic.

Go check it out...

Onomatopoeia Post was asked to join the lovely 'working' luncheon and it was wonderful to be in good company of Colin McKeown, Laproductions & Sol Papadopoulos, Hurricane Films.
