CHOPSTIX TO TREAT LIVERPUDLIANS TO 1000 FREE SPRING ROLLS AS ‘FLAVOUR CRAVER’ CREW HITS THE CITY
The nation’s favourite noodle bar is giving city centre workers the chance to grab lunch on them on Friday 18th October, with free food, merch and big prizes on offer over the day

CHOPSTIX, the UK’s favourite noodle bar, is hosting a huge event with massive amounts of freebies on offer for everyone who visits the store around the city centre next month.

Liverpudlians will have the chance to snag free food and swag as the brand introduces its brand-new ‘Flavour Craver’ offering and brings big, bold flavours to one of the North’s biggest cities.

The beloved Asian noodle chain is set to offer some fab freebies, including 1,000 portions of their famed crispy spring rolls just by signing up, while a live DJ will be keeping the vibes going and fans will even see a ‘Wheel of Fortune’ with tons of great prizes on offer.

Fans of the chain will spot a fresh look to its menu too, with its huge range of famous flavours including the OG Chicken Curry, Lip Smackin’ Salt & Pepper Chicken and its famed Caramel Drizzle Chicken all getting pimped up, while exciting new additions are expected to land as early as the end of October.

Lucky winners can even bag themselves some exclusive merch and vouchers, perfect for future noodle cravings.

All of the action will be centred around Chopstix’s bustling Liverpool Lord Street storefront. From 11AM till 5PM, the ‘Flavour Craver’ crew will be taking over, transforming the space with a live DJ, as well as free competitions for hungry foodies to grab themselves some free food and prizes.

Rob Burns, Marketing Director for Chopstix, said: “After the amazing success of our first Flavour Craver Crew event, we can’t wait to bring the hype along to the foodies of Liverpool.

“Liverpool has such a huge legion of Chopstix fans that we just knew our second event had to be held here.

“Flavour Cravers is all about being big, bold and fun. The day will see literally thousands of pounds of food up for grabs, some exclusive merch you can’t buy anywhere else and stacks of vouchers and other prizes that can be won by anyone that heads down.
“If you’re bored of bland and crave a bit of different, then you’re Chopstix through and through. Get yourselves down and try us out - you won’t be disappointed.”

A new study by Student Beans, the top student discount provider, has revealed Liverpool is the most expensive city for a student night out with the average student paying ÂŁ69.90 just for one night in the centre.
Outside of London, it’s the booziest student city in the UK as the yearly average spend on alcohol alone is an eye-watering £635.64!
From paying for an entry ticket, grabbing three pints and getting a taxi to indulging in a Maccies, the research found the average UK student will spend up to £49.05 for a night out. However, according to a recent Student Beans report, 50% of students are going sober for Freshers’ Week and the average cost of going sober during a night out is £30.47. That’s a saving of £18.58 compared to their non-sober friend!

"How did it feel to win a Liverpool Lifestyle Awardsfor Best New Business and how do you hope it will help you?
It was a real honour to be included and somewhat of a surprise - even to be nominated to be honest. To win, was just fantastic. It’s a magazine that has stood the test of time - it is centred around Liverpool people and local businesses - so precisely our demographic."

A SPECIAL service is taking place on Friday 20 September at Liverpool Town Hall to remember victims of serious violence.

The Serious Violence Remembrance Evening, from 6.30pm – 8.30pm, will include speeches, reflections and performances from those affected and also from key city leaders. Members of the public are more than welcome to attend.

The service will include music from the LIPA Choir.

Speakers include:

Council Leader, Cllr Liam Robinson
Lord Mayor, Cllr Richard Kemp
Retired Merseyside Police Chief Superintendent Mark Baker, who led the investigation into the murder of Olivia Pratt-Korbel
Rose Dixon, the new Chair of the national bereavement charity ‘Support after Murder and Manslaughter’ (SAMM)

It is the fourth year that the annual event has been held. It was inspired by Mandy Jamieson whose son Danny was stabbed to death in Gateacre in July 2018, aged just 16.

Since the tragedy, Mandy has set up Danny’s Place – a charity which facilitates talks to schools, youth organisations and the probation sector about the ripple effect knife crime can have.

The event is supported by Liverpool City Council’s Culture Liverpool and Safer Stronger Communities teams.

Liverpool Town Hall and other civic buildings will be lit up purple on the night, in remembrance of those who have lost their lives to knife crime.

Earlier this year, the Liverpool Community Safety Partnership – known locally as Citysafe – launched a ‘Serious Violence Reduction Plan’ to tackle the issue.

There has already been success in reducing serious violence in Liverpool over the last year or so, with a number of projects set up to disrupt organised crime and encourage young people to make the right choices.

Examples have included the EVOLVE partnership in Dovecot, Yew Tree and parts of Knowsley, funded by the Home Office. The partnership – which was established following the murder of Olivia Pratt-Korbel - has led to an increase in arrests and intelligence provided by the local community, together with falls in crime.

In Liverpool, between October 2022 and September 2023, murders reduced by 87% (15 > 2), shootings fell by 48% (23 > 12), gun crime dropped by 42% (139 > 81) and knife crime was down 29% (815 > 578)

My client wanted to appear in specific publications, I said I would do my best. After all I can only influence these newspapers as a public relations expert, I do not own them. And I got him published in them all. “How did you manage that?” he asked. The same way you manage your expertise in what you do. When you hire me, you’re hiring 35 years of media knowledge and shift patterns around the industry. You hiring someone who understands how social media and AI works to benefit you. You can spend hours trying to figure it out but this is taking your attention away from what you do. If you have a burst pipe, you call in a plumber, if you have a toothache, you go to the dentist. Don’t try and become a public relations expert just because you can’t “ see” what I do.
I can make you famous

Matthew George Walsh is hoping to be signed by Los Angeles agents whose attention he has attracted through 'ground-breaking' projects.
