Should stories on disability only be reported on by people with disabilities? Would that pigeon hole reporters who could bring so much to more mainstream topics?

We'll be joined by four top industry experts who have a lot to say on the matter. And we encourage our audience to chime in too as we take a look at language and ask: is there a right and wrong way to report on disabilities?

Join the discussions about Neurodiversity in the Newsroom at the Disability & Journalism Forum led by: Simon Sansome, Joanna Crawford and Angie Alderman.

Our conference falls during Neurodiversity Awareness Week, which seemed a good time to focus on one of the more misunderstood areas of disability in the workplace.

Former TV producer Angie Alderman will help us navigate what we define as neurodiversity and how employers can ensure their workplaces are as comfortable and inclusive as they can be to a broad range of people.

Journalist Simon Sansome will talk us through how he overcame dyslexia to build one of the world's biggest disability news social media channels.

And Jo Crawford will talk through how being part of the YouTube creator network is helping her bring the news to audiences that would've otherwise missed out.

Join the discussions about retaining and supporting staff with disabilities at the Disability & Journalism Forum led by: Nancy Doyle, Dr. Natasha Hirst, Matt Pierri, Edi Smockum and Sophia Warner.

With the majority of disabled journalists being freelance, it's clear companies could do more to make their workplaces a more comfortable environment. But it's difficult to know where to begin.

To help navigate this discussion we have the country's leading neurodiversity consultancy as well as Sociability, who help firms make their workplaces more accessible.

We'll also hear from the National Union of Journalists' Disability Rep about the protections and support staff should expect as a minimum. Think Bigger! will share their success stories as they help make huge in-roads for representation in broadcast media. While former Paralympian Sophia Warner will talk us through the adjustments she's had to create top quality sports coverage.

More than one in five people in the UK is disabled - but can they access your articles, video and audio? On this panel we'll hear from experts in hearing and vision impairments on the latest technology helping more people consume journalism than ever.

We will talk to the organisers of the world's biggest accessibility conference on how businesses who make their products inclusive win big.

And we'll hear a case study from Dow Jones on the changes they've made to ensure their journalism can be accessed by all.
