With her ancestry in Hän Gwich’in (Alaska and Canada) and Oglala Lakota (South Dakota), Quannah Chasinghorse is dedicated to environmental activism and advocation for Indigenous rights and representation. Alongside her mother, the Alaska-based 19-year-old has fought for the conservation of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge – a sacred place for the region’s Indigenous people and an important ecosystem that is under threat from fossil-fuel extraction. Chasinghorse’s inspiring work, which intersects racial and environmental justice, was recognized in 2020 with the Spirit of Youth Award; she also bagged The Women In Green Forum Youth Trailblazer Award earlier this year.

Thankfully, James is on hand to help us think less about titles and salaries and more about ways to spend time with loved ones and the things that bring you joy. Sound good? Stream the latest episode wherever you get your podcasts or find the link up in our bio, friend.

Fresh from The Guardian's workshop, thrilled to have behavioural change specialist and author of The Kindness Method Shahroo Izadi on today's 🎙️

So many of us go about life with that critical voice in our heads. A voice that tells us that, whether in our work or personal life, we are the worst person in the world leading to overwhelming anxiety. Thankfully, Shahroo and host Rebecca Seal get to the heart of what causes this intrusive worrying in the latest episode of The Solo Collective.

They discuss mindful practices and how self-compassion and (you guessed it!) kindness can be invaluable when it comes to thwarting that inner critic.

It's Thursday which means there's a brand new Solo Collective episode waiting for you✨

In the last 18 months, we have seen a re-evaluation of our relationships to work. With more time at home and less time commuting, we’ve been able to think about what we want out of the work-life balance. Sarah Jaffe, author of Work Won’t Love You Back, has been thinking and talking about this relationship for a long time.

For this week's episode, she joins Rebecca to debunk the "labour-of-love" myth and shares how being passionate can lead to exploitation https://spoti.fi/3rCHRe9
