Hello everyone,

I hope you’re all good and have had an amazing Summer? It’s time to check in and do a wee update.
Wedding season has well and truly kicked my ass 🤣🥰 it has been madness this year? Like the year after Covid!!!

Thank you to all my gorgeous brides and families for continuing to choose me and trust me to be part of your days. What a fab year it has been so far 🫶🏼
1 week left in August and the new Autumn season arrives 🍃🍂🍁🎃 I love it 🫚🍏🌾 looking forward to the new cooler season, cozyiness and pumpkin everything.
I’ve not been away since my big holiday at the start of the year when we did a tour of Australia, New Zealand and Bali. We’re not away until January again so it’s time for a wee break. I stop on Sunday to Thursday for a wee city break to London.
Please get in touch with me over the next 2 days if you need me before Thursday. I won’t have my diaries with me, I’ll be back to admin Thurs night.

“Leigh is a magician!! She is so kind and friendly, but most of all she is incredibly talented. All my bridesmaids commented on how well she listened to their skin/make up concerns and she made them all feel beautiful. Everyone’s make up was completely tailored to them and their own preferences. My mum was particularly worried about getting her make up done as she never wears any and she told me she’s never felt more beautiful! As for myself, I have definitely never felt more beautiful, she has a way of making you still look like you but enhances your features in the most perfect way! I honestly couldn’t stop looking at myself in the mirror! Our make up stayed pristine, despite many tears and many sweaty hours on the dance floor! She gave me a top up kit which was amazing, although I only needed to reapply my lipstick as my make up didn’t budge! I’ve never had my make up professionally done but I will be back to visit Leigh in the future because she is a fabulous person & an incredibly talented make up artist!

You always want to choose a look that will still look great in photos in 10/20 yrs. a classic look with a modern twist. Soft chocolate browns, black liner and Drama Queen Lashes/

Just checking in quickly to say “thanks for having me” to all the gorgeous brides and families recently… I’m on day 7 of 7 fabulous weddings in a row, travelling about Scotland, doing what I love, watching the sunrises on the way. As well as a couple of inspo pics. If you have your heart set on a filtered image from Pinterest, it’ll only disappoint you. Be the best, real version of you 🥰

*It’s obviously impossible to carry every bit of kit so please let me know when there’s tattoos, tanning mishaps/body makeup required. These need prior discussion before the actual wedding day for timings and best results. If it’s left until the day, I might not have the time or best products to help.

Hello,

Thought I would check in - mid wedding season, mid July, mid-week!! Who do I think I am lol managing to do it all!! Not!!!

I was up at 4am and I’m just getting in from today’s wedding and shopping with my mum, it’s 5pm. My alarm is set for 3.30am! to do it all again 😊👰🏼‍♀️👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏼‍♀️

So my only saviour at the moment (apart from my helper/husband 🫶🏼 cleaning my brushes and making sure I’m caffeinated (2 coffees down and my personality kicks in 😂👌🏽) are my gold collagen face masks!!

I’m really reaping the benefits of these just now along with my usual Charlotte Tilbury skincare routine as I just don’t have the time for a makeup routine as such in wedding season. I still want to look presentable and could possibly be in my brides pics 🫣👹 so this is kinda working for me at the moment….

Anyone else have any tips, products, treatments or regimes to share for a quick fix for busy, working lives? Build immune systems? Etc, what’s your go-tos?

My gorgeous chief bridesmaid from yesterday’s wedding Joanne. She was doubling up as father of the bride too ❤️ walking Melissa down the aisle and doing a speech. It was an important day for her supporting her wee sister 🫶🏼
I wanted to make sure she felt great, looked great and felt confident. Joanne doesn’t wear a lot of make usually so didn’t want to look like she had a lot on. I still managed to keep a natural finish to her skin but covered what needed that bit extra.

You can drink the water, get your 8hrs sleep! Follow your skincare routine religiously, remain stress free… but your skin can still breakout just in time for the wedding day. It’s got a mind of its own sometimes. But dont worry! 🖌️👩🏻‍🎨🎨
Your makeup artist will have colour correction and extra coverage products to hide most things. *Always discuss beforehand to make sure they have the products needed for any extra cover work needed on the body, scars or tattoos.

It’s been a while since i posted my own face, (it’s been a while since i used anything on my face!) in the heart of wedding season, my own makeup routine is non-existent. My face is not ready for makeup when the alarm goes off at 4am! 👹🧌😆

I had another lovely day of private lessons today so a longer lie for me, so managed a bit on today. I love this combo. I’ve mixed VIEVE with M·A·C Cosmetics foundation. Very lightweight, glowing and has a second skin feel. I popped a bit of bronzer on top and it’s been fine all day. A great every day natural glowy look.

This lipstick is the new pillowtalk light. It’s a nice alternative to the original. Lovely for fairer skins and those who feel the original isn’t pink enough. 👌🏽 Charlotte Tilbury

Today’s lesson was a joy 😊 one of my favourite faces (and people) 🫶🏼 Natalie Estelle James singer/compère modelling for Shannon’s private pro Mua one to one lesson.

Shannon is HNC qualified and experienced in occasion makeup but wanted to concentrate on perfecting her “bridal makeup” skills, picking up some other tips, troubleshooting and gaining some content and images for her socials.
