“After « Morning Mist « first single released this summer, Simon Says is back with a new single : « Casa Susanna ».
Following on from his first album “Epoca Blu”, Simon constructs a universe where contemporary, sometimes experimental sounds collide with organic pop.
“Casa Susanna” is a romantic ballad inspired by the story of a villa in the Catskill Mountains north of New York, a popular vacation destination for cross-dressing men and transgender women in the early 1960s. Discovered last Photography festival in Arles, Simon was inspired by hundreds of photos exhibited to compose this piece.
Accompanied by Thibault Barbillon (Bass, Guitar) and Hervé Bécart (Drums), mixing was entrusted to Jerome Caron (Studio Felix) and mastering to Shawn (Optimum). The cover and animations are once again the creations of Apollo Thomas.

Feat. @twinsenuk & @wil.owen This track started as an instrumental when I sampled Max aka Twinsen playing my guitar one night after practise. I turned his playing into what was intended to be an instrumental track for my next album. I sent it to Wil to show him and separately mentioned I had another track I wanted to collaborate with Wil on. The next week, Wil sent me a message saying he'd worked on our collaboration. I was thinking "I haven't sent you the track yet?". I opened up the attachment on his message and it was this track. I loved what he'd added and it became a collaboration by accident. Hope you enjoy. I created this animated loop using Grease Pencil in #blender.
