Can our imagination solve the Climate Crisis?
As we recognise the agency to solve the growing problems in our society and systems, we need radical imaginations contributing to the pursuit of a path towards a better future.
@geoff.mulgan declares that using our collective imagination is the key to solving the great problems of our present and future.
Sir Geoff Mulgan CBE is a Professor of Collective Intelligence, Public Policy and Social Innovation at UCL and former CEO of Nesta. Geoff has explored ideas of collective intelligence, experimentalism, social investment and more.
This short film is part of a larger strand of work looking at how vital collective imagination is right now and how it can democratise access to a future that works for all of us, released in partnership with the @jrf_uk.

๐๐จ!! Great BCorp news claxon !!๐จ๐
Weโve just passed our @bcorpuk recertification! ๐๐ช๐
Rubber Republic has proudly been part of the trailblazing B Corp community for over four years*. Every business who certifies is taking a stand to be part of the solution not the problem, and we couldnโt be more proud to be part of this growing community of amazing organisations. A smarter future is possible, but it takes those bold and visionary enough to invent the future we need, and the BCorp community is full of inspirational groundbreaking organisations redefining how business can operate.
Vitally, BCorps operations have to include in their goals and impacts their effects on their broader stakeholders of people, communities and the planet, and as every business depends on these things to operate, itโs smarter that we tie their future into our planning.
If anyone wants to join the (currently) 5,132 companies and counting, including Patagonia, Ben & Jerrys and Triodos Bank click here (or drop us a line if you need any advice)! LINK :https://www.bcorporation.net/en-us
* Recertification comes around every 3 (normal) years but the pandemic caused us a bit of a recertification delay ๐ฌ.
How do we help create empathy with those most affected by the Climate Crisis?
Our project filming 360 films with youth activists who's lives are already profoundly affected is almost ready.
Working with Mock COP26, and Picture Zero, this week we're bringing together the final footage ready for a showcase at #COP26 to allow those attending to see what young people in India, Uganda, The Philippines, Colombia and the Brazilian Amazon are experiencing, and how they're already working to address the effects on the ground.
Check out the trailer here, and we'll release the films for VR headsets and online 360 viewing next week:
