A man was taken to hospital late Monday evening with a serious injury following an aggravated burglary attack.
At 23:38 last night (5 August) officers were called to Buttershaw Lane to reports that three males were breaking into a property.
An investigation has begun into the aggravated burglary and is ongoing by Bradford CID.
A man suffered injuries to his hand and legs.
Fire crews called to Bierley house fire
On Friday evening the emergency services were called to reports of a house fire on Middlegate Court in Bierley. The fire led to three fire stations responding to the incident. Thankfully there were no injuries.
West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service have said:
“House fire 90% of roof involved. Solar panels and lithium batteries were also involved. Fire engines from Odsal, Bradford and Stanningley attended and used 2 hose reels and 2 breathing apparatus. An aerial appliance from Leeds was also used.”

Patient?! Patient?! No, we’re tolerating what we are being put through but we are not patient no! The state of the city atm is disgusting! It’s actually easier to WALK to where you are going! Yet they’re all happy with it, nah, get it sorted! and fast! If this was Leeds it would have been sorted months ago! September for the interchange (at least) and the roads are gridlocked!
It’s simply not good enough, esp when we’re due for city of culture next year!
A rider has suffered serious injuries and been taken to hospital this evening following a collision in the city.
Cutler Heights Lane is currently shut to traffic, not far from its junction with Holmewood Road.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 4.26pm, police were called by the ambulance service to a report of a serious road traffic collision involving a motorbike on Cutler Heights Lane, Bradford.
"The motorbike rider suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
"Road closures have been put in place at this time, whilst enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances regarding the collision."
This is the scene this morning of yesterday’s chaotic fire. Heaton motor factors caught light at around 11:45am and lasted into the afternoon with all 3 emergency services present. Leeds road remains CLOSED from Mai Chi to Derby Place.
Firefighters are currently tackling a fire on Leeds Road in the city, Heaton motor factors, close to akbars is well engulfed with at least 3 fire engines taking on the job. As you can imagine oils and electrics and alsorts are in this building so people are asked to avoid the area and Leeds Road has been closed from mother Hubbard at laisterdyke up to orange tree. Buses are diverting by Leeds old road
Reports coming in of a big fire in Wyke this afternoon, Wyke Lane towards Nufarm but unconfirmed reports suggest it’s an old industrial estate. More as we get it.

Police were called to reports of an assault on Haworth Road - which left the victim with serious injuries - in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The incident took place at around 1.18am today.
West Yorkshire Police attended the scene but the victim had left the area.
He later presented himself in hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries to his hand.
A scene remains in place - blocking entry to a section of Haworth Lane both ways - as enquiries by Bradford CID continue.
Police are this evening in attendance at a stabbing in the bd10 area. The incident has occurred at the bottom of The Bank where it meets with Harrogate Road and as such the bottom of The Bank has been closed. Forensics are now in attendance and the air ambulance attended and one man was conveyed to hospital, the seriousness of his injuries are unknown at this time.

We’ve held back for long enough. The transport in this city is no longer safe. The fact that the interchange wasn’t even on the agenda for the authorities is an utter joke. Having seen that a poor pedestrian fell today due to the buses, we find it devastating, it should never have come to this. Had we been present we would have helped but with that being said we are not blaming the drivers nor the passengers. they are merely doing what’s been told of them. It’s time someone was held accountable and quit, letting someone take over the position who actually cares enough about Bradford. Before someone comments asking for names, I will not be being sued for libel.

Man in his twenties arrested on Bradford housing estate.
A young man in his 20’s has this evening been arrested in a property in Gerard house in the bd10 area. It’s thought police had attended this property recently with speculation it was due to a fi****ms incident but nothing was ever confirmed. Armed police have now returned and arrested a man.

🚏 The 601 and 602, also known as Bradford City Circle, will operate on Monday to Saturday, hourly in each direction from Shipley via Heaton, Bradford Royal Infirmary, Lidget Green, Morrisons Mayo Avenue, Rooley Lane, The Parade Holmewood, Tyersal Lane. Five Lane Ends Morrisons and Wrose back to Shipley.

Police cordon close to Coop on Bradford Road in Idle.
The top of Cavendish Road from Idle Cricket Club to Bradford Road is closed. A 23 year old male has been taken to hospital following a serious assault overnight. One local resident said they noticed the cordon on waking up at 7am and that the road is closed with police now putting down forensic cones.

Road closures this evening after car and tanker collide.
Shipley Airedale Road at the junction with Harris Street and Leeds Road is slow this evening but still open after a collision.
Expect delays following a tanker, carrying Aviation fuel collided with a blue vauxhall corsa at just gone 8pm.
No injuries have been reported as yet.
Croft street has reopened but the city centre is still experiencing severe knock on delays
Road closure in the city centre, Croft street which connects Shipley Airedale Road and Nelson street has been closed following a serious road traffic accident. More as we get it.
Please note: this is causing traffic chaos across the whole of the city centre not just the roads mentioned.
