Embarassing story 🫠⤵️
The other day I had a call scheduled… gave myself enough time to drive to the next town over to take the call in a quiet space, was getting myself pumped up listening to TTPD and don’t I GET PULLED OVER not even two mins from where I was going and get a freaking ticket causing me to be about five-ish mins late 🙃 lol nightmare fuel.
One thing about me- IM ALWAYS EARLY to calls so that was 😫😫😫
I was so grateful that the person on the other hand was patient and waited for me! I couldn’t have been more apologetic, but damn what a way to throw a girl off 😂
I usually wait about 10 minutes before I log off and reschedule calls, after the five min mark I send a little hi 👋🏼 message to see what’s up!

As much as I’d like to brag that I’m completing everyone’s work from a chic standing desk or boujee office with a sweet neon sign, the reality is THIS is my reality 99.9999% of the time 🤭
I do my best work listening to the ladies on Bravo yelling at one another or delivering SHADE hunnnnny. I swear the constant beeps from their swearing is kind of soothing.
In all seriousness, I do have a nice office… but since I work in there for my full time job 4 days a week I truly try to detach from it as much as possible.

On a discovery call the other day a potential client asked me “if your job is to take care of everyone’s tasks, how do you take care of your own?” & I honestly LOVE that question 🤭
📁 Limit the amount of projects I accept at a time. If my workload is getting heavy, I only accept smaller projects and suggest other VAs to people that require more support.
⏰ I work shift work- so I work for 4 days, and then I have 4 days off. Plenty of time to focus on this business between breaks, evenings and days off. Major reason I haven’t left my full time job… why not do both while I can???
🛌 I prioritize my rest. If that means I use one of those 4 days off to do absolutely nothing, so be it.
🔋I do things in my day-to-day that charge me up rather than leave me burnt out. Such as communicating my needs, prioritizing moving my body, keeping a tidy space, getting tf out of my condo when I need to (when you WFH full time, you wanna get tf out) etc.
⚠️My boundaries are my saving grace. They are the reason that I AM able to take on other peoples work while still getting mine done.
Repeat after me “I will not allow my business to burn me out” 📣📣

Late night coffee time thoughts ☕️ 💭🌙

The last half of this year I’ve been struggling with consistency in marketing my business, taking care of my health, sticking to my routines, showing up and engaging with this community, etc.
I found myself showing up for everyone else except myself & while it was comfortable to avoid everything in my life for a little while, it has also been time for me to make a change and get my 🍑 into gear.
For the last month I’ve been focusing on getting my health in check by starting a fitness routine and adjusting my habits. I started with building a fitness routine. It’s still a work in progress, but I can happily say I’ve successfully finished my first 3 week program.
In my almost 30 years of life I’ve literally never stuck to an entire program. That felt GOOD 👏🏼 and was just what I needed to motivate me to start being consistent everywhere else. The trickle effect is real.
That month of taking care of myself made me think heavily about how I want to show up over on this page.
I’ve felt kind of guilty not posting, connecting and promoting my services over here. I want to share more, less curated niche VA content and really start connecting with so many amazing businesses that I see when I’m scrolling each and everyday 🤍
So here’s to continuing to focusing on adding ME into my list of projects to take care of, and permission for you to do the same.
Focus on you, because you can’t continue to support everyone else if you aren’t taking the time to support yourself ✨
