Harmaa-alue

Harmaa-alue Official page for the self-made photography magazine called Harmaa-Alue (greyzone). That's the reason for preparing this little magazine.

After spending a lot of time in front of our computers to showcase our photographs and to follow the works of others we decided to upgrade to the real world from the cyber one. As strongly as we love photography, we believe it belongs in magazines and galleries rather than the internet!

Salt River, industrial suburb of Cape Town. I see the silhouette of a hat man. Ask for a picture. No word, he starts to pose, jumps and flips around the beetle. Sun is low, beautiful autumn light. Nice shadows, bright colors. Exchange a few word at the end. We talk in French, Patrick comes from Congo. He asks for a cigarette, and says that he fixes fridges.
