black.round.twelve is a specialist, independent record store & online shop based in Berlin. Our focus is on the electronic music genre, especially club-oriented music with a refined, minimalistic character. We opened our shop in 2015, and since that time, we have supplied records to customers worldwide. Besides a careful selection of new releases, we also have plenty of second-hand wax covering th

e last three decades for you to dig. BRT Distribution is the worldwide production & distribution channel run by black.round.twelve since 2017. It started as a collaboration with ourown.ro, aiming at bringing imprints like Amphia, Metereze, or [a:rpia:r] to a broader audience. We offer worldwide distribution and dedicated vinyl production assistance to more than 30 labels. In 2020 we took the logical step towards also turning black.round.twelve into an independent record label and released our first vinyl signed by Ricardo Villalobos.

Four years in the making, Duct Tape Project is the new brainchild of @tripmastaz in the realms of Trip-hop and Downtempo. And it’s a project that makes perfect sense to anyone familiar with Andrei’s background (making Hip-Hop beats since his teenage years), musical capabilities and decades-long experience. Duct Tape Project joins Andrei with a troupe of stellar musicians not only from many different corners of the world but also from acutely distinct genres – @holaguti , @argenisbrito.music, @mad_dim , @denis_kaznacheev_nervmusic , @krussia_ , @tzarmusic of DOP, @sarkisricci , @amorentrave , and vocals by @inga.music. Featuring all sorts of live instruments, drum machines, synthesizers and modular systems, Duct Tape Project brings forward a complex work brimming with musicality. Using Hip-Hop, not only its rhythmic structures but also its sampling techniques, as a foundation, Tripmastaz created a vibrant and fascinating ecosystem with enough sonic texture to leave one captivated, enraptured and lost at the edge of words. Our Story

black.round.twelve is a record store found in 2015 by a music lover for music lovers. Deeply influenced by the movement of Deep House & Minimal Techno the record store became a hot spot for Minimal House in Berlin.

Aside from that, the stock of vinyl assures a wide range of electronic music. Fine selected new releases meet plenty of second-hand records from the late '90s until this day. The store is a cozy and familiar place where you can dig your personal gems, meet and exchange with like-minded people about music, parties and much more. Or just hang out and drink a nice coffee.

In 2016 black.round.twelve started cooperation with Ourown.ro and became a partner distribution for the Romanian agency. Besides of Labels like [a:rpia:r], Amphia or Metereze BRT started to distribute also other labels like Cloc, Funky Fungi or Paramour.

In 2017 the own webshop www.blackroundtwelve.de was launched to cover also the music lovers outside of Berlin with the minimalistic but grooving sound the record store stands for.
