After a serious illness, our founder, Horst Weidenmueller has left us far too soon at the age of 60. His vision, passion, and dedication shaped !K7 since 1985 into what it is today, and his legacy will continue to inspire us.

Beyond his role at !K7, Horst was a passionate advocate for the independent music community, a committed environmentalist, and true friend. His contributions have left a lasting impact on the industry and will not be forgotten.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched. We will honour his memory by carrying forward the work and values he instilled in us.

!K7 remains committed to continuing his vision with the same passion and integrity that he embodied.

Rest in peace, Horst / Mick. You will be greatly missed.

‘A Healthy Fear’ the first single off Destrata’s upcoming A Healthy Fear EP is Out Now

Destrata is a Vancouver-based DJ and producer known for his boundary-pushing approach to electronic music. Refusing to be confined by a single genre, he has carved out a unique sonic identity through releases on acclaimed underground labels like Scuffed Recordings, Spe:C, and Of Paradise.

The track lurches into a cavernous bass breakdown, layered with dub-tinged vocal echoes and sweeping sirens, setting the tone for the bold, forward-thinking release that fuses elements of percussive techno, UK bass, 2-step, and other cutting-edge electronic styles.

Metro - Out Now from Channels coming March 21st.

Kassian’s debut album comes full circle, focusing on the warmer, sample-based, and house-inspired sonics that brought them together.

“As we were writing, we realized that all the tracks had the unique potential to tell a story” reflects Warren Cummings alongside his counterpart Joe Danvers-McCabe.

This record is an earthy thing, that combines live instrumentation with meticulously curated musical extractions creating a deep stream between the organic and improvised, the sequenced and planned.

On your marks, get set, go, Galop EP is out now.

An EP endowed with an affirmative, equine and driving energy artfully counterbalanced with a playful and sensual touch: there's currently sweat dripping down from the ceiling.

The titling of the individual tracks point to a club focus, good strong tools – say neigh more. Skillfully jacking the rhythms throughout this EP the Kilowatt, Body Language (Berlin) and Vitamina (Milan) resident uses his experiences DJing and organizing sound at different parties to build varied arrangements.
