Dubai: Nigerian fraudsters hold Cameroonian colleague hostage over disappearance of over one billion FCFA

A Cameroon is being held hostage by some Nigerians over the disappearance of 1.9 million USD (7 million dirham) they got through Internet fraud.

Both the Nigerians and Cameroonian are reported to be in the same team of online scammers.

The Cameroonian victim, whose name MMI got as Nopin Alex, was reportedly seized by his Nigerian colleagues after another Cameroonian, Foka Romuald Darius, who is also involved in the fraud deal, disappeared with the money the got from the deal.

The body of 23-year-old Zambian student Lemekhani Nyirenda, who died fighting for Russia in Ukraine, is due to arrive back home this Sunday.

Zambia's foreign minister has announced that the body had now reached the Russian port city of Rostov-on-Don and a Zambian diplomat would accompany it back to Lusaka.

Lemekhani Nyirenda died in September but news of the death only came out last month.

Nyirenda, who had been studying nuclear engineering in Moscow, was serving a drugs-related prison sentence in Russia.

Illicit drugs worth over FCFA 20 million recently seized by customs officials and forces of law and order in the West Region have been destroyed by authorities.

The destruction process which took place on December 8th at the HYSACAM waste management unit was supervised by Governor Awa Fonka.
It should be noted that illicit drugs are known to be a contributing factor in the health deterioration of most patients.

French President, Emanuel Macron has announced that condoms in pharmacies will henceforth be free for persons aged between 18 and 25.

The decision was made public on his official Facebook handle on December 8, 2022.

On Saturday December 10, 2022, UK-based Victorine Ndikum, founder of the Victorine Foundation will be organizing an end-of-year award ceremony and giveaway in Tiko.

Amongst the activities to be carried out at the ceremony will be donations, business pitching, business exhibition and training aimed to assist these vulnerable persons.

This, it should be noted, is not the first time that UK-based Victorine Ndikum is organizing such a reach out, to assist vulnerable persons in society.
