বাশিমা-তামযীদ বুয়েটের কম্পিউটার সাইন্স এন্ড ইন্জিনিয়ারিং ডিপার্টমেন্টে পড়াশোনা করেছেন। দুজনেই একই ইউনিভার্সিটি থেকে PhD করেছেন। ৩১০ Amazonian, ৩১১ নির্বাচিত হয়েছিলেন ফোর্বস থার্টি আন্ডার থার্টি হিসেবে! আর দিনশেষে এরা দম্পতি!

গল্পের শুরু সেই ভর্তি পরীক্ষার রেজাল্ট থেকে। পরিচয় প্রণয়..এরপর বিয়ে! একের পর এক অর্জনে বিশ্বের বুকে বাংলাদেশের পতাকা উচিয়ে ধরেছেন এই মেধাবী দম্পতি।

'ওরচেস্টার পলিটেকনিক ইনস্টিটিউটের ভবিষ্যৎ সহকারী অধ্যাপক বশিমা ইসলাম সৌরশক্তি ও রেডিও ফ্রিকোয়েন্সি ব্যবহার করে 'ইন্টারমিটেন্টলি পাওয়ার্ড ডিভাইস' তৈরি করছেন"

অর্থাৎ, ব্যাটারি ছাড়াই চলবে—পরবর্তী প্রজন্মের এমন ইন্টারনেট অব থিংস ডিভাইস নিয়ে কাজ করছেন তিনি।

▪️৮ বছরের একটা বাচ্চা ছেলে ১ টাকার একটা কয়েন হাতে নিয়ে দোকানে গিয়ে বললো, আপনার দোকানে কি আল্লাহকে পাওয়া যাবে?
দোকানদার একথা শুনে কয়েনটি ছুড়ে ফেলে দিয়ে তাড়িয়ে দিলো ছেলেটিকে।
▪️ছেলেটি পাশের দোকানে গিয়ে ১ টাকা দিয়ে চুপচাপ দাঁড়িয়ে রইলো! এই ছেলে ১ টাকা দিয়ে কি চাও তুমি? আমি আল্লাহকে চাই। আপনার দোকানে আছে? দ্বিতীয় দোকানদারও তাড়িয়ে দিলো।
▪️কিন্তু, অবুঝ ছেলেটি হাল ছাড়লো না। একটার পর একটা দোকানে ঘুরতে লাগলো। ঘুরতে ঘুরতে চল্লিশটা দোকান ঘোরার পর এক বয়স্ক দোকানদার জিজ্ঞাসা করলো, তুমি আল্লাহকে কিনতে চাও কেন? কি করবে আল্লাহকে দিয়ে?
এই প্রথম কোন দোকানদারের মুখে এরকম প্রশ্ন শুনে ছেলেটির চোখেমুখে আশার আলো ফুটে উঠলো৷ নিশ্চয়ই এই দোকানে আল্লাহকে পাওয়া যাবে! হতচকিত কণ্ঠে উত্তর দিলো, আমার তো বাবা নাই, এই দুনিয়াতে আমার মা ছাড়া আর কেউ নাই। আমার মা সারাদিন কাজ করে আমার জন্য খাবার নিয়ে আসে। আমার মা এখন হাসপাতালে। মা মরে গেলে আমি খাবো কি? ডাক্তার বলেছে, একমাত্র আল্লাহই পারে আমার মাকে বাঁচাতে। আপনার দোকানে কি আল্লাহকে পাওয়া যাবে?
--হ্যাঁ পাওয়া যাবে!
কত টাকা আছে তোমার কাছে?
মাত্র এক টাকা।
সমস্যা নেই। এক টাকাতেই আল্লাহকে পাওয়া যাবে।
▪️দোকানদার বাচ্চাটির কাছ থেকে এক টাকা নিয়ে খুঁজে দেখলো এক টাকায় এক গ্লাস পানি ছাড়া বিক্রি করার মতো কিছুই নেই। তাই ছেলেটিকে ফিল্টার থেকে এক গ্লাস পানি ধরিয়ে দিয়ে বললো, এই পানিটা খাওয়ালেই তোমার মা সুস্থ হয়ে যাবে।
▪️পরের দিন একদল মেডিকেল স্পেশালিষ্ট ঢুকলো সেই হাসপাতালে। ছেলেটির মায়ের অপারেশন হলো। খুব দ্রুতই তিনি সুস্থ হয়ে উঠলেন। ডিসচার্জ এর কাগজে হাসপাতালের বিল দেখে মহিলার অজ্ঞান হবার মতো অবস্থা।
ডাক্তার উনাকে আশ্বস্ত করে বললো, টেনশনের কিছু নেই। একজন বয়স্ক ভদ্রলোক আপনার সব বিল পরিশোধ করে দিয়েছেন। সাথে একটা চিঠি দিয়েছেন।
মহিলাটি চিঠি খুলে পড়ে দেখলো তাতে লেখা,
"আমাকে ধন্যবাদ দেওয়ার কোনো প্রয়োজন নেই, আপনাকে বাঁচিয়েছেন স্বয়ং আল্লাহ। আমি তো শুধু উসিলা মাত্র। ধন্যবাদ দিলে দিন আপনার অবুঝ বাচ্চাটিকে। যে একটাকা হাতে নিয়ে অবুঝের মতো আল্লাহকে খুঁজে বেড়িয়েছে। তার বুকভরা বিশ্বাস ছিলো, একমাত্র আল্লাহই পারে আপনাকে বাঁচাতে।
এর নামই বিশ্বাস এর নামই ঈমান।
আল্লাহকে খুঁজে পেতে কোটি টাকা দান খয়রাত করতে হয়না, বিশ্বাস নিয়ে মন থেকে খুঁজলে এক টাকাতেও পাওয়া যায়।"
আসুন না, সবাই সর্ব অবস্থায় সকল বিপদ-আপদে আল্লাহ তায়ালার উপর বিশ্বাস ও ভরসা রেখে তাহার নিকট সাহায্য প্রার্থনা করি ও তাঁর কাছে ক্ষমা চাই..!!!

Tell a bit about yourself as a writer.
I’ve been living in my head since I was a child. In my mind, I can visit all kinds of worlds, made up or those I read about or watched in a show/movie. With books/shows/movies, I even often change the scenes in my mind. Form them in a way I like them to go. It’s honestly quite entertaining up there.

As soon as I could read, I went to the library to borrow and devour books. What started with adventure stories on horseback turned into a Stephen King phase when I was a young teen, and soon I got lost in the grand fantasy worlds of Terry Goodkind, Patrick Rothfuss, George R.R. Martin, and many more while I grew up. I dream, I read, I draw, and now I also write as my mind is full of stories and worlds.

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
Actually, I wanted to become a manga artist first. I imagined my worlds in words and pictures alike, similar to movies. When I was ten years old, I drew my first manga (never published, though). I also actively participated in forum games, where one author started to write a story, and you had to continue it. That was a lot of fun!

However, life had other plans. If your family can’t afford to support your artistic endeavors until you can support yourself, then you have no choice.
