Another woman has been killed in Australia. An 85-year-old woman was found dead at her home in Findon, SA, last night. Her husband is in custody. She is the 70th woman killed this year. ❤️

It is exactly 358 days since 30-year-old Jessica Zrinski disappeared from Greenfield Park in NSW.
Her family is desperate to know what happened to her and to bring her home.
No one has been charged over Jessica's disappearance but police today released a $500,000 reward for anyone providing information about what happened to her.
Jessica entered a blue Holden Commodore at 10pm on Monday, November 28. The car travelled along the M4 motorway and Great Western Highway towards the Blue Mountains.
Jessica is one of thousands of Australian women who have disappeared without a trace since white settlement.

A 90-year-old woman who was allegedly r***d and assaulted on November 15 at her care home in Bateau Bay, NSW, has died from her injuries. She is the 68th woman killed this year & the 8th woman lost to violence in a matter of two weeks. A man has been charged over the assault.

About the Australian Femicide Map

WHAT IS THE AUSTRALIAN FEMICIDE MAP?

The map is an interactive memorial remembering Australian women and children who have lost their lives to ALL forms of violence or neglect regardless of the perpetrator gender of relationship to the victim. We have chosen to give no start or end date for this ongoing collection of photographs and stories. The map is a companion project to The RED HEART Campaign's Memorial to Women and Children Lost to Violence. The memorial and map are the only ones of their type in Australia and both exist to honour and remember those who deserved to live long and happy lives but were never given the chance.

THE RESEARCH BEHIND THE MAP

Journalist Sherele Moody undertakes the research, photo gathering and story writing for this project with support from journalist Katherine Benson. The map is far from finished with more victims added weekly. We acknowledge there are difficulties tracking Indigenous deaths and are working to overcome this. This is not a statistic-based map. It is a forum that shows where femicides and child killings are occurring while sharing information about the victims' deaths. All of the information on this map is publicly available and the material is sourced from coroner's reports, media stories, police and family and friends of victims.
