ENTRIES WANTED!
Australia’s Fiano producers are invited to enter a forthcoming tasting of the Italian varietal by the Wine & Viticulture Journal. The number of wineries in Australia making Fiano has increased substantially since 2017 - the last time the Journal tasted Fiano. In that year, its sister publication, the Wine Industry Directory, listed just over 70 wineries crushing Fiano. The current version of the WID shows 116 wineries crush the variety.
The Journal’s tasting will provide an updated snapshot of how the growing number of Australian wineries making Fiano are interpreting the variety.
The results of the tasting will be published in the Autumn 2023 issue of the Wine & Viticulture Journal.
Producers wishing to enter wines in the tasting can do so at the online entry form found here: https://winetitles.com.au/tasting-submission/
Entries to the tasting close Friday 18 November 2022

Another entry from the Winejobs Top Dog Competition.

Oscar, Edward and Tigger Couch Guard (Oscar) Meet n Greet (Eddie) and Security Sausage (Tigger)
Battle of Bosworth and Spring Seed Wines

Our three brown hounds are an integral part of the staff at Bosworth HQ and also frequent Kangaroo Island to terrorise the locals and greet visitors at Springs Road Cellar Door.

Oscar the breathing cushion is excellent at making sure the couch stays where it is and sharing said couch costs a belly rub.

Tigger is on guard as security whilst doing deliveries and also takes care of yard cleanup of disgusting things.

Eddie is magnificent at leading visitors down the garden path, not so great at rounding up sheep.

Meet Nero. One of the many entries from our Winejobs Top Dog Competition.

Nero (the Hero)
The best Black Labrador in the WORLD!! Loved by all for everything
The Overflow Estate 1895

Nero is our 8 yo pure-bred Black Labrador and has become an institution at The Overflow Estate 1895. Highly intelligent, exceedingly obedient and Oh so affectionate. He is the official meeter and greeter at the Cellar Door, hunts rabbits and other pests out of the vineyard, swims regularly in the lake and is the best of friends with out horses and cattle.

A constant companion to David, the owner, he is equally comfortable in the farm ute, the tractor, the dozer, the ride-on mower and even the helicopter. Importantly, he has not been de-sexed so lives on high octane fuel!!

Meet Tigger. One of the many entries from our Winejobs Top Dog Competition.

Chief Wellbeing Officer
Liebichwein Winery

Tigger, our bouncy, energetic best mate has endeared himself to Liebichwein staff and customers over the years.

Tigger is ever-present to boost staff morale, welcome cellar door visitors, entertain kids while parents taste wine, and supervise vineyard work. He jumps at every chance to guide the quad bike and becomes a cosy footrest under the office desk come naptime.

Tigger is proud to be featured on a cartoon wine label dressed as a dapper gentleman.

Thanks to Ron and Janet for sending us a pic of their good boy.
