🎈Happy Birthday Fun Music Co!! 🎈
It was October 18 years ago- Who would have ever guessed back in 2006 that the music programs and games we created over our own teaching career would have evolved to help so many people today.

Back then, we were expecting the birth of our baby girl and working in the basement of our parents house after finishing up at our music school when we put the finishing touches on our first ever online music game resource called “Printable Music Games”

At the time we thought it was a one-off idea and that’s when we realized there was more to create because teachers needed more than just lesson ideas and that’s how we were inspired to start the Fun Music Company and create our -6 FunMusicCurriculum online program as it is today.

So far, we’ve been celebrating by having some FUN mailing list celebrations!! DID YOU KNOW? The song called “La Cucaracha" remains one of the most recognisable folk songs in Spanish-speaking cultures today!

The exact origins of "La Cucaracha" are unclear, but it likely dates way back to the 1800s, and may have been sung during the Mexican Revolution

"La Cucaracha" refers to a cockroach ~ the melody is fun and upbeat, making it a popular song for children to learn to SING & PLAY with instruments and making it a popular addition with performers and audiences in any assembly or concert.
And did you know it also meets some very important music curriculum needs? …Well now you do!

Louis Armstrong was once quoted as saying "Life is music itself. What would this world be without good music? No matter what kind it is."

Taking care of ourselves is essential to being the best teacher, colleague, spouse, parent, and person we can be. This means looking after both our physical and mental well-being.

However, as teachers, we’re often so busy that we don’t take the time to pause, ask ourselves simple questions, and genuinely care about the answers… but we really should!

We’re leaders. Every day, we stand in front of classes, guiding our students toward greatness. But we can’t do that if we don’t take a little time to recharge and feel great ourselves.

Author Patricia Ireland once said, 'I don't think you lead by pessimism and cynicism. I think you lead by optimism, enthusiasm, and energy.'
