SNEAK PEEK OF FINAL GOWN

Dear Beloved Family,
Today, as I step onto the final stage of Miss Universe, representing my beautiful country Zimbabwe, I look back at the journey that has brought me here. It has been a path filled with challenges, growth and unforgettable moments and I am overwhelmed with gratitude for each and every one of you who has supported me along the way.

Your unwavering belief in me has been my fortress. Every message, every cheer and every moment you stood by my side has fueled my spirit and inspired me to reach for the stars. I carry your hopes and dreams with me and they shine brightly in my heart.

To my fellow Zimbabweans, thank you for being the heartbeat of this journey. Your resilience, strength and vibrant culture are the essence of who I am. I am proud to represent our nation, a land rich in beauty and potential, and I hope to make you proud.

I must also express my heartfelt gratitude to the Miss Universe Zimbabwe Organization. Your guidance, vision, and dedication have empowered me to shine my brightest. You believed in me and your relentless support has been a beacon of light throughout this journey. Thank you for nurturing my dreams and for creating a platform that allows young women like me to rise and inspire others.

To my incredible international family, your kindness and encouragement have transcended borders and united us in a common dream. Your belief in me, despite the miles that separate us, has touched my heart in ways words cannot express. You have shown me that love and support know no boundaries and for that, I am eternally grateful. Together, we have created a tapestry of hope and inspiration that spans the globe.

As I take this moment on stage, I promise to honor the love and support you have given me. No matter the outcome, I carry you all with me. Together, we are stronger and together, we will continue to rise.

With all my love and gratitude❤️

When Sheynnis Palacios won the Miss Universe crown last year, it was the first time a contestant from Nicaragua, a country of seven million people, had done so. Instantly, the 24-year-old from humble beginnings became a hero in her homeland.

But things quickly became complicated.

The authoritarian government of President Daniel Ortega went from initially applauding Palacios’ win to calling her a symbol of anti-government resistance and cracking down on those who supported her, even arresting family members of the director of the Miss Nicaragua contest.

Palacios has been living in New York as part of her duties, and has visited 31 countries on trips organized by the Miss Universe Organization. But as her year as titleholder comes to a close this month, she has yet to return home.

Will she ever be able to go back to Nicaragua?

The Soaring Eagle:- Miss Universe Zimbabwe National Costume for

The “Soaring Eagle” is a representation of the majesty and heritage of the nation, woven with deep symbolism and artistry. It is a story of Zimbabwe’s proud identity, its natural
wonders, and its deep cultural roots.

The eagle, a symbol of grace, strength, and vision, represents the majesty of Zimbabwe in this costume. The outstretched wings symbolize Zimbabwe’s enduring strength and its aspirations to rise above challenges and soar to new heights.

The colorful wings of the costume evoke the vivid rainbow that arches over the falls, a reminder of Zimbabwe’s natural beauty and the unyielding connection between the nation and its land. Just as the rainbow forms a bridge between sky and earth, this costume symbolizes the connection between Zimbabwe’s past and future, its rich cultural heritage and its soaring modern aspirations.

The foundation of the costume, draped in a striking rock pattern, grounds this ethereal vision by paying homage to one of Zimbabwe’s most iconic and historically significant structures: the Great Dzimbadzemabwe. These ancient stone ruins, whose name means “house of stone,” once served as the seat of a powerful kingdom, representing the height of Zimbabwean civilization in centuries past. The rock pattern on the dress symbolizes strength, resilience, and the deep roots of the nation. The costume mirrors the duality of Zimbabwe itself, a nation that is grounded in tradition and yet is not afraid to dream, to rise, to fly. A marriage of the natural world and the built environment, capturing Zimbabwe’s story as both a land of unparalleled natural beauty and a nation with an illustrious human history.

A special thank you to you brought this dream to life.
