George Honzeri The coming of the month of July brought in a new wave of hardships for the commuting public as Zupco hiked their fares by 100% for all local routes leaving the commuting public in limbo. The hiking of fares beyond the reach of the majority by Zupco and the imposition of a curfew by the government in response to the surge in covid19 cases has left the majority of Zimbabweans in a dire state as those who capitalised on long working hours are forced off from work in the afternoon....

William Makomo Thousands of commuters were left stranded yesterday after the Government announces immediate implementation of fresh lockdown regulations, an arrangement which led to failure by urban transport planners to manage the crisis. ZUPCO buses remain the sole mode of public transport and commuters had to endure long waiting hours for buses, a situation threatening to derail efforts to contain the spread of the virus as commuters hardly practice social distancing while in queues....

William Makomo ZERA announced increase of fuel last night effective Monday 5 April 2021. Diesel 50 increased from US$1.30 last night to US$1.32 whilst Blend now costs US$1.34 from US$1.32 respectively. "Stakeholders are advised that the Petroleum price released by ZERA can be verified on ZERA official website, Facebook or Twitter, " statement reads. Rehabilitation and construction of roads has remained the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development priority in achieving high quality road network countrywide.
