The Fantastic Group’s Sound & DJ Hiring and Events & Catering divisions is the bulk of our business and provides a wide range of products & services to suit any need. The company’s experienced staff can setup and operate efficiently with short notice with services tailored to the clients’ needs. The company additionally hires out equipment for various events such as conferences, weddings, fashion shows, product launches and exhibitions, we also cater for clubs, bars, hotels, sporting events, live bands and DJ’s, corporate events, gala dinners and more. It is our belief that quality service and equipment are essential to our success. Our strength lies in our versatility and flexibility to meet the demands of an ever changing industry.

We are based in Pretoria, Gauteng but are able to travel, catering for destination events both locally & abroad. Our business is providing clients with skilled Entertainers, DJ’s, sound and other related entertainment equipment and or services. Our skills enable us to service, plan and project manage events and or provide technical assistance for all types of events, both indoor and outdoor.

Our business services are niched and multi-layered in that it provides a broad range of products and services within the music and entertainment industry. The music and entertainment industry in South Africa is ever-evolving and morphing as new technologies come into play that disrupt traditional business models and therefore is in a constant flux progressively.

South African culture is that of celebration and businesses such as ours thrive as customers seek us out to bring ambience and atmosphere to their events. Our customer base varies greatly, we appeal to students (high school through to university) as well as older people looking to appreciate great music and entertainment.

Meet the Directorship:

Ashwin Pietersen (DJ Rakkie)

Ashwin is the Director of Operations at The Fantastic Group and is a qualified Sound Engineer; Electrical Technician as well as a well-known Entertainment Specialist.

Ashwin has been in the entertainment industry for over 20 years and has started his professional career as a DJ at the age of 12. Some of the places he has played at and or serviced with sound equipment include: Skyline Pretoria; Platform 98; Joe's Public Hatfield; Rhapsody's Hatfield; News Cafe Hatfield; Drink Inc.; The Blue Room Hatfield; The Blue Room Church Street & Cuba Lounge Durban. DJ Rakkie is also an active member of the Eersterust community.

Lori van der Merwe

Lori is the Managing Director at The Fantastic Group and also the Director at 4CreativeGenius, the Former Director at 4CG and CollaboBrainchild and business owner of Star Media Casting & Events and Admin Support Pro Solutions.

Our promise to our clients’ is to provide, deliver and maintain class, quality and excellence in all areas of service delivery. We aim to exceed the clients’ expectations and anticipate the clients’ needs, this aspect of our operations has been refined by years of experience.
