More then 200 residents of the St Albans community have blockaded Old Cape Road, outside the prison, demanding services from the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality. The angry residents threw rocks and bottles at a truck as it quickly rammed through the rubble that had been set alight. From its humble beginnings as a black-and-white four pager more than 170 years ago to the leading print and digital publication in the Bay today, one thing has remained unchanged; The Herald was and still is the voice of Nelson Mandela Bay – in print and also online.
