The seas have been big and dirty. Once settled, the fishing has picked up with some decent fish being landed.

Offshore: Although the sea has been a bit rough, the gaps in the conditions have yielded good results and some proper fun.

Rock and surf: The main attraction has been the inedibles of which there have been plenty. Make sure your knots and back are strong.

Freshwater: Hot weather, some rain and plenty of fish to be caught. The big bass have been out in their numbers.

We made it past April fools without too much drama. The sea is looking better than it has in a long time and the freshwater scene is firing! Time to fish!

Offshore: There have been fish along most of the KZN coast. Snoek, Tuna, Couta and a host of other gamefish.

Rock and surf: There have been plenty of summer fish around with some edibles in the mix as well. The drags are making plenty of noise along the coast.

Freshwater: The freshwater scene has been filled with good catches of all species. The colder months are on the way so make the most of the summer warmth while it is still around.

The fishing has been good on all fronts. The weather has been a bit iffy but the breaks in the wind/rain have been producing the goods.

Offshore: Offshore the fishing has been a mix of bottom fishing when the gamefish go quiet and chaos when the drags start screaming.

Rock and surf: The inedibles are giving a good account of themselves. The kingfish have been around in good numbers with most being taken on lures.

Freshwater: The bass are biting, and some giants have been landed. The carp and trout are playing second fiddle but are still keeping their anglers happy.
