The Ministry of Health Invites public to an awareness on the COVID-19 Moderna vaccine on the 2nd of June 2022, Epauto Multi-purpose Hall.

The Moderna mRNA-1273 Vaccine, that arrived to Vanuatu earlier this year, allows Vanuatu to be able to expand its eligible population for COVID-19 vaccines to adolescents of 12 to 17 years.

The Ministry of Health is working in close collaboration with the Ministry of Education to ensure our younger population receive protection against COVID-19.

This pandemic introduces new normal including vaccinations as a measure to control the transmission and severity of this new virus. Moderna mRNA-1273 is one of the first adolescence vaccines to be introduced in Vanuatu hence an awareness session will be held to ensure parents and guardians especially are well equipped with clear accurate and clear messaging on the vaccine to aid in decision making.

With the above stated, we humbly invite you to join this informative session tomorrow 2 June 2022, from 9am to 12pm at the Epauto Multi-purpose Hall.

We look forward to your support to address this global pandemic and ensure the safety of our people and the nation together.
