2 Thessalonians 2 The next greatest event that will happen in the world is the rapture of the church!

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

“falling away” likely means an extreme revolt against truth. The word “falling away “ is translated "rebellion, the apostasy," or "the departure. Falling away from sound doctrine, marriage between male and female, Gender, the gospel of Jesus Christ to another gospel, the church, etc””
IFalling away also refers to the falling state of the world following the departure of the church due to the rapture. The rapture in verse 1 is the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and the church being gathering together to him."
The second event in verse 3 is the appearance of "the man of lawlessness," "the son of destruction." The Antichrist. The great falling away from biblical truths and morality are happening right now in the church and society. Selah

God’s way of doing things and his way of being right.

When you have something against another Christian, how can you bring yourself to go before judges who are not right with God? Why do you not let God’s people decide who is right? 1 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭1‬ ‭

Surely you know that God’s people will judge the world. So if you are to judge the world, are you not able to judge small cases as well?”1 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭2‬ ‭

You know that in the future we will judge angels, so surely we can judge the ordinary things of this life.”1 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭3‬ ‭

If you have ordinary cases that must be judged, are you going to appoint people as judges who mean nothing to the church?”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭4‬ ‭

I say this to shame you. Surely there is someone among you wise enough to judge a complaint between believers.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭5‬ ‭

But now one believer goes to court against another believer—and you do this in front of unbelievers!”

Congratulations to the 2024 Graduating class of Greater Works Bible College. Congratulations to Dr. Phillips on your 1st year of teaching and to the entire faculty! Job well done!!

Last year I was blessed with the opportunity to teach at Greater Works Bible College as an Adjunct Professor and my first students are graduating on June 15th! I’m so excited for them and their next level and for where God is taking the Bible college.

The blessing flows from the head down!

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, Even Aaron's beard: That went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, And as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: For there the LORD commanded the blessing, Even life for evermore.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭133‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭
This is what you call real covenant partnership. The Pastor, leadership, and the members should be blessed. There’s something wrong where only one, two, or a few are blessed in a congregation.

But some of the men who had gone with David were wicked and stupid. They said, ‘These men did not come with us to attack the Amalekites. So we will not give them any of the things that we have brought back. Each man can have only his wife and his children. Then they must take them back home.’”1 Samuel‬ ‭30‬:‭22‬ ‭

“David said, ‘No, my brothers. You cannot do that. The Lord has given all these things to us. He has kept us safe. He has helped us to win against the enemies who attacked us.”

Saul asked the Lord what he should do. But the Lord did not answer him in any way. He did not give Saul a dream. He did not use the Urim. He did not give a message to the prophets. So Saul said to his servants, ‘Look for a woman who can talk to dead people. Then I will go and ask her what will happen.’ His servants replied, ‘There is a woman at Endor who can do that.’”

God’s silence was a consequence of Saul’s disobedience against God. The king, in desperation, sought wisdom from an occult source that he himself had outlawed. His hypocrisy indicates how far he had fallen from God’s grace. The witch of Endor was expecting to hear from her “familiar spirit” (a demon) during the séance, Therefore, she was startled when she saw Samuel. For this purpose God allowed Samuel to return in order to give King Saul the news of his coming defeat and death. When a person dies, his or her soul is taken to either heaven or hell. There is no wandering the earth, sharing messages with the living, or making return visits (see Luke 16:19–31). Any claim of contact with departed loved ones is a demonic deception (see 2 Corinthians 11:14–15). God condemned necromancy, channeling, and the work of mediums, and those who practiced such things in ancient Israel were to be put to death (Leviticus 20:27;
In Saul’s case, God allowed Samuel to return to pronounce a final judgment on the disobedient king. Saul, who had refused to listen to Samuel when the prophet was alive, sinfully sought a word from Samuel after he was dead. And that was part of why Saul was judged (1 Chronicles 10:13–14).
We know that the medium was not producing an illusion because she screams in surprise when she sees Samuel (1 Samuel 28:12). Also, the spirit rising from the earth is called “Samuel.” Further, the spirit spoke the truth; the message Saul received was accurate. Samuel said to Saul, ‘Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?’” (1 Samuel 28:15). The king explained about the Philistines and how God was no longer answering him

According to Deuteronomy 21:10-14, The Israelites may capture non-Jewish women in war and take them as wives and socialize them into Israelite society. Why would God allow the Israelites to take some of these women as wives. According to Judges 21: 14 occasionally there were shortages of women. So God would allow captive women into Israelite families in order to procreate.

Judges 21:20 The Israelites told the men of Benjamin, ‘Go there and hide in the vineyards.

21 Watch carefully. When the young women of Shiloh come out to dance at the feast, run out from the vineyards. Each of you should catch one of the young women of Shiloh. Take them home to the land of Benjamin to be your wives.

22 Their fathers or their brothers may come to us and complain. If they do, we will say, “Please agree to help the men of Benjamin. We could not find a wife for each of them in the war. You did not choose to give your daughters to them, so you will not be guilty. The men of Benjamin caught them and took them away.” ’

23 So that is what the 200 men of Benjamin did. Each of them caught a young woman as she was dancing at the feast. They took them home to their own land to be their wives. They built their towns again and they lived in them.
