Every outlet for content will be a little different. Instagram only allows videos under 1 minute in their news feed. Email only lets files up to a certain size to be sent. Some people are visual. Others prefer audio. It can be difficult to figure out what content works the best and where that content works the best.

You might have a bunch of email addresses, but no facebook followers. So, no matter how bad you want to be on facebook, maybe you should focus on emails?

Content can really be delivered in text format, graphic/pictures, video, and audio. The good thing is that your content can be made in each of the formats! The key is being intentional to create a plan on how and when to deliver you content…

Creating your content is obviously one of the most important pieces of the Visible Client Journey. There are a lot of different options when you're creating content.

Text, Pictures, Infographics, Audio, Video... There are people out there who prefer to consume your content in each of the categories.
That is why you should be creating each type of content for each piece of information you are presenting.

Now, I know you are going to get tired of hearing/seeing your content, but you'll get tired of it far faster than your consumers will... So don't fret. Share - Share - Share!

Online visibility is more important than ever, because as you know, everyone is online, always.

The way people discover, evaluate, and trust you and your business LIVES on-line these days.

Personal Reviews from Friends and family have been replaced by online reviews.

A couple stats for you:

97% of consumers search online for LOCAL BUSINESSES (brightlocal.com)

and

78% of mobile local searches actually resulted in OFF-LINE PURCHASES (ComScore)

Local SEO is more important than ever! And google makes up 90% of those searches…

So, how does google decide?

Proximity
Relevance
Prominence

First - Proximity- How close is your business to the searcher? But Google can only know where your business is if you tell google where your business is AND to make sure that everywhere google crawls the web to find that information is the same.

In other words, is your businesses NAP (name, address, phone number) are exactly the same on google my business, facebook, twitter, your website, yellowpages.com, yelp, MapQuest, etc.

(and before you think it, just because you didn’t set up locations on all those places does not mean that they are not there - AND not having them there is just as hurtful to your search results)

Second - Relevance - how does your businesses’ keywords match what the searcher searched for?

Is what your business does explained the same way, using the best keywords, across all your online locations?

When it comes to relevance - SPECIFIC IS TERRIFIC

Third - Prominence -- does your business have authority on the search subject?

Does your business have online reviews from clients on google my business, facebook, yelp, etc. - dealing with their search criteria ?

Do you have content out there on youtube, facebook, google my business, your website using the keywords they searched?

Do you have links from other trusted sites coming to your website about the search subject?

And a couple other aspects that will affect your visibility:

Do you have paid advertisements through facebook, google, or another similar product that goes directly to the target market you seek to speak to?

And

Are you properly using email to

ATTRACT the right clients,

ELIMINATE the wrong clients,

and stay top of mind with the people who already know, like and trust you?

Now there is much detail that goes into each of these focuses, but in this video I’ll just briefly touch on each one.

Focus on your Visibility - Can people find you online? From the NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) citations that search engines use to find you, to your google my business listing, to your facebook, youtube, instagram, or any other place people look for businesses like yours - ARE YOU VISIBLE?
Focus on your List - do you have a list of people who have showed interest in your product and service, but not purchased? Do you have a list of current clients? How about past clients? Your list is the Lifeblood of your business…
