Media Heritage mourns the passing of legendary radio personality Jim Scott, who has died at the age of 81 after a battle with ALS. Jim was keenly interested in MH and even signed donated headphones he used during his final WLW morning show in 2015 for display in our exhibits. Thanks, Jim, for being the Good Guy that you were in front of, and beyond, the microphone!

For the vast majority of our existence, Media Heritage has been all volunteer...no paid staff. Except for a brief period, 2004-2005, when MH left the mother ship WVXU. Dr. King worked out a deal to pay three people to establish MH as a real business. Ron Esposito was placed in charge as Director and did a great job wading thru piles of paperwork and grant writing and reporting. After WVXU was sold in 2005, the plan ended although Ron continued to support our efforts. Ron passed away this morning. He was one of a kind and will be missed. RIP, brother.

Media Heritage is sad to learn of the passing of Cincinnati radio legend Jerry Thomas. Jerry and, son, Brian visited our museum a little over a year ago. Jerry leaves us with great memories of his comedy, his many characters (like Granny), and the hilarious "improbable interviews" he did with Bob Jones on WKRC in the 1960s. Rest in Peace!

Media Heritage is proud to team with WMKV to help bring 1960s and 1970s television and film veteran Ronnie Schell to the Fairfield Community Arts Center on June 25th. Thanks to MH member Dave Allen for arranging this appearance. Proceeds will be used to preserve our local broadcast history!
