Hey y'all! I'm sharing this message Hello comrades. There was a fire in my neighborhood this morning in Anacostia all of the families are displaced and lost everything.

There are some immediate needs, so I am coming to folks to see if anyone can assist.

They need blankets, coats/ clothes especially for the kids, water/ drinks, dog food, snacks, mobile cell phone chargers and chords, any other food/ snacks that won’t spoil quickly or need refridgeration, and school uniforms as kids have to go to school in the morning.

The bus is on Morris Rd. SE & Mount View Pl. SE. You can bring things there the ANCs and my neighbors ate helping there as well.

Everyone in the building has rapid rehousing or a voucher. So they do not all have places for them to go and wait. They are currently on a leaky Metro Bus. As some of you know, in DC the Red Cross won’t help until DOB condemns the building. And even then they still have to wait for a visa card and and temporary housing which is usually a motel. There are all families, so there are tons of kids.
